Think Jimmy T is very stiff not to be in the side, after his last 2 games with Casey, netted over 30 possies in each. I suppose I shouldn't use the word stiff on here, after some of the most recent posts.

Very positive article from Chip on MFC site. Might yet stay with us.

Would that be a see through outfit?

Thanks for the report TV star.

Think I would prefer more than just me in the room.

That is not really true. He has a bit of sh-t in him, which few do. His form is very good at the moment. He is versatile. He will do the team things, tackle, smother, etc. While far from a star, how many do we actually have? If he plays better than the bloke he replaces, that is a positive.

Jack Trengove out for year with navicular fracture

Don't get me started on the jokes. -
Are we now on my other love, horse racing?

Jack Trengove out for year with navicular fracture

Thanks for that. Always good to learn. Like Jack it gives me hope that he can resume a good career with us, uninhibited by this injury, that appears to have curtailed his performance. PS. He was still getting high possessions, but lacked penetration with his kicking and pace. Imagine if the last 2 areas are improved, he could become a very good player for us, in an improved side. -
Stats that Matter (or a truck load of bulldust?)

Sensational effort for Jake to be 5th in tackling, considering the amount of work he has been asked to do, alone in the ruck. -

Must admit that it was a shock to me. BTW I don't want to see Jack missing passes. PS. It was an extra shock to me, as I watch him closely in games, as my family sponsors him and have for the last few years. PPs. The one I fear with the ball is Bail, but he occasionally does well with it. -
You can either be a spectator or a participant. I like to participate.

I think I could be partial to a bit of flagelling.

Incorrect. The alluding was to there being no Statute of Limitations, to alluding to the unmentionable.

Have a happy easter everyone. I am about to tuck into another banana flavoured easter egg. Be careful with the lads BBO, don't let them over eat.

Forget Jones on Gazza, it will be Jordie.

The continuing saga of Melbourne's injury list - 2014

Or more likely: Late changes today, out Hogan, still not recovered and in Byrnes. -
Correct.

Now JT is out for the year. Next rookie about to be upgraded. Probably Jetta.

We have improved our defensive skills to only concede 6.5 marks inside the back 50 each game, down from 15 and we are now the best in the league at that. That is also on the back of Chip and Dunn moving up forward and rejigging the backline. Also that is without arguably the club's best defender in Garland.

Agree. While I personally view him as a soft player, his skills are sublime and he will become more valuable as our personnel improves.

Amazing , the Blues lose 4 games and the place is about to be torn down. We have been crap for about 8 years. Doesn't take much for those lousy Blues fans to jump ship.
-
Good point. Would love to see Jake rucking to Pendles, Swan, Beams, Ball and Sidebottom. Bet he would be considered better than he is now.

That is $1.2m per year for 6 years. Agree, we are a soft target and because of that, every failing will get magnified by the press, fairly or unfairly. This bloke is very ordinary and has copped no criticism whatsoever, nor GWS. Imagine if he was still at the Dees, the headlines would scream, "yet another dud draft pick by the Dees". Roos also stood up for us the other day, when we were criticized over Kelly. He said those un named recruiters, criticizing us, have done so anonymously. If he had their names he could look at their record and disect it. He also said we wouldn't have taken Kelly at 2 anyway. I thought that was very interesting. Until we can become competitive we are the soft target.

No it was at the Junction Oval. I was on the wing when he hit his first Demon. Graham Wise was our ruckman who was a bit shorter than Carl. That same day Baldock in the mud did something I have never seen repeated. It was just in front of me. He ran to the boundary with two Demons behind him chasing the ball. He reached the ball near the boundary and slapped the ball into the ground, it bounced up to him, he then turned and baulked both Dees and ran into CHF where he bombed it into the goal square, where a saint marked it. It was breathtaking. Baldock was about 180cms and played CHF. A genius on the footy field. "It is 50 years since he burst on to the scene as a 17-year-old from East Brighton, making a breathtaking debut against Melbourne in the opening round of 1963. Amazingly, Ditterich had been to only one VFL game in his life - to watch his beloved Geelong play St Kilda at the same ground the previous year. "The thing I remember most about my first game was just running through the race and on to the field with the rest of the players," Ditterich said. "It was at the old St Kilda (Junction) Oval, a magnificent ground and the place was packed. And just the roar of the crowd. "I started off in the ruck. It's all about confidence. If you can get a couple of early tap-outs and a kick here and there, your confidence grows." Ditterich was best afield and the legend was born. "I was absolutely buggered after the game. The nervous tension drained all of the energy out of me and I was that tired that, about an hour after the game, I had to go and have a lie down on the carpet in (club secretary) Ian Drake's office."
