I have.

Not sure about that. Petracca and JT out for the year. Viney and Frost 4-6. But yes it could be worse and has been in the past.

Loved the attack on the Crows by Bernie Vince. I want to see that passion and effort every week. I have more admiration for Bernie, now that he was prepared to have a go at his mates and really upset them for his new club.

Adelaide v Melbourne POST MATCH DISCUSSION - ROUND 3
Redleg replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
20 players tried their guts out. Poor kicking for goal. Disgraceful home town umpiring. -
Adelaide v Melbourne POST MATCH DISCUSSION - ROUND 3
Redleg replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Agree. -
Agree. BTW he was still protecting himself not going for the ball in the contest, when it came to him and he gave it off.I love Jack, but he is the softest player in the AFL and yet one of the most skilful.
-
Maybe that is Roos' method of not overtaxing new players.

It has taken a long time, but I am starting to lose my passion for football.

THE DRUG SCANDAL: AFL TRIBUNAL DECIDES
Redleg replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
In summary, it appears that the AFL Tribunal found Dank guilty of offences of attempting to use banned drugs on Bomber players, using banned drugs on non AFL Players, covering up the offences, but not guilty of actually using banned drugs on AFL players. That would then sit comfortably with their findings on the Bomber players. Question: if there were no positive tests on banned substances given to non AFL Players, what evidence was there for the Tribunal to find him guilty? The Bombers got off, a result the AFL craved, on two grounds, lack of evidence of what they ACTUALLY took and lack of evidence of them intending to take a banned substance. In the end we actually don't know what they took, but we can have a pretty good idea though. -
Agree. I am also realistically not expecting a win, but if we don't give a 4 quarter effort, we will not improve in the short term.Every player should be able to try and there is no excuse for not trying.

What is his background?

I think Pies are ordinary yet they smash Saints. Pies will get beaten by the good sides. As someone said, we have created an EPL, where only a few sides have a chance and the others merely make up the numbers. I enjoyed the old VFL.

Did you watch last week's game.? You know who was the GWS match winner?
-
Dank yesterday joked that all his paperwork, which was left at Essendon, as he was directed, must have disintegrated.
-
Probably wouldn't help.
-
We probably didn't request a 1 game season, due to our results over the last 10 years in the first round.

More bad luck for (former demon) Ricky Petterd
Redleg replied to whatwhat say what's topic in Melbourne Demons
Hope Ricky Bobby makes a swift recovery. -
Roos mentioned it and said the players were sore after the Suns game, but didn't want to use it as an excuse.

Have been some attempts to fiddle with this thread, either name changes, or closing it down. Once again evil has been defeated by good and we go on unchanged, to fight the good fight for the weak and downtrodden. Oh that is us anyway.
-
It must be between the ears.Dockers midfield is not quick but they smash you. It is effort and we had little after half time. Mentally weak. How hard is it to pressure and tackle aggressively.
-
Jones must have had an issue, as he was hunched over often, while his opponent was running away with the ball. His fumbling and lack of run was totally un Jones like. I wonder if he was sick.
-
Yes GWS out played and out ran us but they also out bodied us. They were the ones with the constant aggression. That is upsetting because once you allow a team to push you around, they have got you mentally and effort drops off. Aside from Viney we gave nothing back. Where was our hard tackling and pressure when needed. Add that to their mids smashing us and it is game over without a whimper. I also agree with another poster that if Kent and Garlett had nailed their gimme goals we would have been nearly 8 goals up and that may have changed things.
-
That was shameful. They not only smashed us, they actually, physically beat us up and we did nothing.
-
Shameful.

Would love us on 2 wins and Cats on none, after this weekend.
