  1. Stop exaggerating. On last weeks stats we would only need about 196 inside 50's.
  2. I cant see any difference between May and Cox incidents other than Cox is a popular player, being an American.
  3. Despite being a well known pessimist I am confident we will win this one.
  4. Keilty and Billy could not do any worse than May last week and ANB both weeks and at this stage Corey Wagner is a better player than Sparrow, so if you were correct that would be an improvement. Keilty would give Max a chop out and could also go forward or back and at the same time would allow Tom and Sam to stay forward. Billy's pace and disposal is far superior to ANB's. I noticed that last week not only did he have 3 effective possies, but his tackles didn't stick and he was involved in many of our turnovers. KK and Trac will improve with game time, both coming off injuries.
  5. Not really. Everyone was at our end because Trac had the ball on the wing. Trac passed it poorly to Jones who had Clark get the sit and mark over him and then ran on to a forward line that had only one player there Hawkins. He then had all the time in the world to wait for Clark to run into the goal square, after first giving off the handball and then receiving it back. There was not a single Demon any where near the Geelong goal. It doesn't happen if Trac did a good pass or kicked to our half forward. We have a bad habit of doing that. I go back to the problems I have seen with our side for years, which to my mind haven't been remedied: lack of pacy mids and forwards and better skilled players. Despite our finals last year, I still think we are slow and poorly skilled.
  6. I think the season starts this friday night.
  7. Interestingly the Sunday footy show highlighted a number of our forward 50 entries and there were guys on their own who were ignored. The main culprit was Gus going onto his left foot and blasting away. We completely ignored guys in good position to score who were unmanned.
  8. Could you keep it quiet until just before round 5?
  9. I have watched quite a few games this weekend and noticed that only one side was incapable of creating space in their forward line and then finding a player with the entry.
  10. Things are going well. The Vics have just won the Sheffield Shield for a 32nd time. Winx is still going strong. Bananas are still our favourite fruit. The Dees are on top ( whoops bottom ) of the ladder
  11. Are you conceding against the Swans in round 4?
  12. Petracca is not the problem. He can and will be great when the other 4 forwards excluding Melk pull their weight and we also learn how to deliver the ball into our forward 50. It is hard to win when you have 2 on you, because 4 of your other forwards are so pathetic that their opponents don't bother with them and help out on Trac and Melk. How ANB is preferred to Billy or even Corey is beyond me. This BS about his pressure is just that. Go watch the 3rd quarter last night for example and see him beaten in every contest and then fall over and let his opponent start off another play that ends with a Cats goal. 8 possies at 44% is actually next to useless. That is at best 3 effective possies. When he then gets in the way of other players it just compounds. I did more for the Dees last night by simply going to that sh-thole of a ground and sitting there in the rain.
  13. Me too. Trac had an off season injury and surgery I believe and is therefore needing a bit of time to find his best. If not for his set shot kicking last year, you would say he had a very good season last year. He will get back to that form. ANB on the other hand offers us nothing and in fact often gets in the way and costs us.
  14. We have concentrated on getting contested beasts, to the complete detriment of team balance. We now have no outside run and no small forwards. We have misread our list and our gameplan exacerbates the problem. Bombing it into the forward 50 will now get us beaten most games.
  15. And there is one of the two main problems. We bang it in without any purpose or direction and secondly we don't have the small forwards to take advantage of the inside 50's. On the scoreboard that was an 80 point belting, which on the basis of effort and inside 50's, should have at worst been a 20-30 point loss.
  16. Don’t think so.
  17. Poor skill and no good small forwards again.
  18. Don’t disagree with that.
  19. So you also believe he said it deliberately. Fair enough. I just don’t think he attacked a disabled person on TV intentionally.
  20. I didn’t put words in your mouth, you posted “whether it was deliberate or not “ and by that I thought you were conceding it might not have been deliberate. However you know what Eddie intended, so what is the point of discussing it with you.
  21. Yes you are correct, he wanted to alienate the female viewers and get them to hate him.
  22. You have now agreed with me, I think, in that we both agree with what he did, but that it was not deliberate.
  23. He obviously didn’t see it. He looked up and saw the coin fly off to the side and cracked a joke. I am sure you appreciate that he is a very experienced broadcaster and he would not deliberately alienate the entire viewing public by ridiculing a disabled person. Seriously? I know you are being facetious.
  24. Of course he was referring to the coin thrower, he just wasn’t aware she was disabled.
