  1. The great John Nicholls was also 188cms and would be dwarfed by Cripps.
  2. Our FF Barry Bourke was 179 cms or 5'10. Our FB Bernie Massey was 183 cms or 6'. Our ruckman Graham Wise was 188 cms or 6'2". How times have changed.

  4. Yes you are correct, obviously my memory is failing.
  5. You left out a better one, Don Williams. I thought Paul Prymke could have been a great if his back had of held up.
  6. Fitness, technique and mental fragility.
  7. Good on you Bert.
  8. Spoke to a marathon runner today, who is a Dees fan and he believes it is to do with fitness. We tire late in games and allow teams to run over us, without much pressure and the lack of fitness also affects our kicking for goal.
  9. I am happy to kick it off with $250.00. Good luck Monica.
  10. Cameron is bigger than Smith.
  11. Well that's at least 8 out and then we lost Hogan who didn't play in the Prelim, but his replacements in May and KK were also out and the kid we got for the 2nd Hogan pick in Sparrow was injured as well. Taylor is not our problem, injuries certainly are.
  12. Ever heard of second season blues? Probably compounded by the poor form and heavy injury toll the club has had this season.
  13. Gullaci looks like a 60โ€™s porn star.
  14. You may just be right on that one Ethan. What I struggle to come to grips with is, that basic decisions are not being given to certain teams and soft/technical ones are given to other teams. Using our game as an example, Weid was pushed right in the back 15 out and so was JKH by Jenkins, who handballed to Lynch late in the game, but no frees for blatant pushes, yet soft holds given to Crows for goals. Then the refusal to give blatant holding the ball decisions against the Crows, but again instant frees against us, like the Viney one. These decisions are so visible, obvious and blatant, that you are left to think that it is an agenda, or we are just the unluckiest team in sport. Several times the commentators call them, but you know their instructions are to just gloss over them, as we canโ€™t criticise umpires and we all generally agree with that, but seriously is it just the rub of the green? We had one single infringement against us in our forward 50, in a 2 hour physical contest, according to the umpires. PS. I know it was us and our kicking that lost the game, but why do we not get what other teams do?
  15. Well, there is more to life than footy. I'll just have to find out now what it is.
  16. They have been instructed by the AFL to not rubbish the umpires.
  17. And they will beat us kicking 14-6 to our 8-18.
  18. Sarcasm meter turned off Clint ?
  19. The commentators like the whole footy world have been told not to highlight poor umpiring.
  20. Given JKH has not played a senior game this year I didnโ€™t think he was too bad. I actually thought Spargo wasnโ€™t that bad either. At least they try and get the ball at a contest, unlike you know who.
  21. Itโ€™s ok everyone, we can relax, the AFL is fixing the problem. What is the problem you ask, well a kick for goal by a Docker was touched by a Pies player and not picked up by the review. On the TV you can see Mayneโ€™s little finger touch the ball. It was reviewed by the AFL heavily last night after the game, as a missed touch to Collingwood could seriously harm the game. The Pies received 7 frees in their inside forward 50 to the Dockers one. 4 goals were gifted to the Pies from blatant incorrect decisions but letโ€™s not worry about that. We got 1 free inside our forward 50 to 4 soft goals to Crows yesterday but we are only Melbourne and not Collingwood . Blatant Melbourne frees ignored as per usual. The AFL said we are not worried about Melbourne as who really cares anyway. We look at the issues that count and that matter to our great game like this missed touch on the ball. Heads will roll over this. Maybe if our club mattered as much as the tip of a Collingwood players little finger we would become relevant. We clearly are not. The game has seriously lost a lot of its enjoyment to me.
  22. Yes there is, we play one short.
  23. He was pushed directly in the back and it was a basic free kick since 1896 when the game started. Same as Weideman 10 metres out, but we donโ€™t get basic frees, while opposition get slight touches.
  24. Would Jeffy?
  25. You of course will Lay Off Oscar and others you continually pot. This is your latest post on Oscar - "And just to think he has played what over 50 games??? Hnmm reason why MFC are no closer to success than in 64!! Putrid player!"
