Where did you read/hear that?
-
Now Benny boy, do I need to spell my acronym out for you? One last time, GAFY. Oh, and take timD with you, there's a good lad....
-
Yes, but it would have been more if our defence weren't as magnificent as they have been. The barrage of inside 50s was like trying to push against a fire hose. I'm talking about key personnel - our backline needs to stay together for the next 3 to 5 years.
-
Hmmm....one game in three years?? Sounds a likely type, but at this stage we need to recruit players who are sound and can get on the park every week.
-
We need to train our players to run hard in both directions. This may come into fruition when we recruit/draft 100 midfielders.
-
Mark Neeld fixed the defence.
-
Yeah....that's right. Everything in AFL world is kosher and above board....*looks away*
-
I'd rather Eade if we are to go down that path.
-
Perhaps. I've conceded, an experienced coach will get the gig, but outside Roos, the other names bandied about don't excite me at all.
-
The Club will go down that path, BB59, I'm 99 percent sure of that. Having said that, I feel that some invigoration is needed - not past records. Hence, my proposal. Like our recruiting, after ND was given the flick, Bailey and Neeld were just the wrong picks.
-
Columbian Gold, baby!
-
You add so much to the debate Jose...err, Machiavelli.
-
Btw, 1/17. Root gone. Got an absolute jaffa from Rhino.
-
Yes, pride and RESPECT. Our blokes will lift a cog if they sense someone understands their journey, their issues. It's not about a rebuild.
-
A team of young guns led by an Adam Simpson or a Gavin Brown. These guys were hard, uncompromising, fair footballers that commanded respect both on and off the field. Our players NEVER had faith in Neeld, (or respect) and I reckon this is the first thing they'll look at. Someone who's been there. Someone who can sell their vision. Someone's who's sore from their footy and knows the contemporary style of play. The pressures, the ability to lead young men. Oh, and Ron, I'm assuming you're directing your comment at me? At least have the decency to reply directly...but I digress. Williams is painful and prostituting himself all over the place. Every time the camera was on him against West Coast he was up off the bench, directing traffic. Juvenile contrivance.

If Clisby gets more weeks than C. Brown then...

Hardly had an opponent. Opponents were too scared of him. -
I've moved on. Many on here need to do the same. Time for a new coach that oozes respect and knowledge. Not a tired Eade, or Williams, or (shudder) Ratten.
-
On the contrary, my household crew look underwhelmed by an Eade, or a Williams, or heaven forbid, a Ratten. Young guns, contemporary mindsets, modern game theorists...that's what this list needs.
-
They were clearly the wrong appointments, DO. The names mooted around have had very high profiles as players and I think that our boys will respond to someone who has walked the walk, not just talked the talk. Sorry about the cliche, but I'm genuinely excited by a Simpson appointment if we can't get Roos...
-
Yeah, but would Williams or Eade take the gig, knowing they'll be turfed out in 2 or 3 years? I don't think so.. Dream team for me. Simpson, Kirk, Ling.
-
Adam Simpson? Oh, yes!!!
-
Guilty.
-
Really? Crikey, I hardly saw him. Straussy was going well until he copped Brown's errant boot.
-
The penny will never drop for this bloke. Looked so disinterested tonight.

Is Colin Sylvia still an important 'must sign?'
