  1. Good on him, great servant of the Demons, was sad he finished it elsewhere. From a coaching point of view (and having been at the Hawks 5 minutes) this could be a role that one day may lead him back to Melbourne. He and Adem Yze would be enjoying the buzz around Hawthorn. Though always two demon playing champions...
  2. While talking about Byron Pickett, he has turned up in the WA Goldfields recently cleared from AFL Queensland (McKay) to the Kalgoorlie City Football Club in the Goldfields Football League. Is yet to play but think his local debut will be this weekend coming, haven't spotted him in person, but the general talk is he's been in a pretty good paddock. Had the local comp here talking since his clearance was granted, how he goes on the field time will tell. Cheers Ian Dunstan Kalgoorlie WA.
  3. Being a WA based member our best options for games in Perth is via The Western Demons, pretty sure website is www.westerndemons.com otherwise there is a link via www.melbournefc.com.au it might pay to make some enquiries via them. Despite the eagles being what they are presently they still draw huge crowds that pack into the worst stadium in Australia. And very impressed with the journey on mothers day its a subject i'm yet to tackle this end !!!! Cheers Ian Dunstan.
  4. Noticed in the SEN tent that David's young bloke had the Demons guernsey on with Number 5 on the back, despite not being at a club function for 6 odd years suggest he's got the family in the correct footy direction despite his works with the Dogs.
  5. All previous posts have pretty much summed the night up. What struck me was how friendly everyone was, current/past players were bombarded with autograph and photo requests (plenty from me) and all were done in a generous fashion. I sat near Brent Maloney and he had much pride when standing along with the current playing group and an article in Tuesdays Herald Sun covered this well. As a WA based supporter/member it was a rare moment to be involved with the club i follow with great passion and to be amongst the people I admire and respect was one of those genuine life highlight experience's.
  6. Dennis Cometti played reserves for Footscray, so if he has a leaning it is to the Dogs, very big West Perth supporter here in the WAFL. From ABC Perth Glenn Mitchell is Carlton supporter Graham Smokey Dawson is Hawthorn Gerard Whatley Geelong Dan Longergan Western Bulldogs The Late Wally Foreman was West Coast, his last AFL broadcast was the 06 Eagles win Rob Waters ? Quentin Hull, you'd suspect Brisbane Peter Donegan ? There's a few. Cheers
