If he was the best of the experience coaches available why were so few people mentioning Buckley's name when Goodwin's job was in jeopardy and when he was sacked?

It's interesting. When Goodwin was sacked, very few people were thinking Buckley, but as soon as it looked liked he was going to get the job people jumped on board

Yes. The new coach might make us better and we could play finals but we won't be a serious contender with our current list. We're better off overhauling the list and going backwards for a while until we have a real chance of a premiership. Look how stacked Adelaide and Gold Coast are. That's who we'll be competing with in the next few years.

Very true. A lot of people thnk the new coach will solve our problems and we'll be playing finals soon but I don't think that's realistic. We need to overhaul the list before we can contend again.

How would Tom Morris know that the job is Buckley's if he wants it? Would someone of leaked it to him? He just seems very confident.

When potential coaches are interested in a coaching job they often give wishy-washy answers. Can't read too much into it.

It won't be shut down because supporters have the right to ask the question. I just hope supporters give Buckley a decent amount of time before they start the thread.
