I'm not sure I believe Buckley here. There's no way the Tasmania job is better. An inaugural coach has never won a premiership and there's no way he can be sure the team will happen, so how is it better?

The old rule did work fine but the game changed and congestion became a problem, so we needed a way reduce the amount of throw ins to ease congestion

Unfortunately yes. Wish they just applied the last possession out of bounds rule to the entire ground and got rid of insufficient intent completely

It's not a free against who touched it last. it's a free against the last player who kicked or handballed it out of bounds

McClure's clearly embarrassed he got the Buckley prediction wrong and so he's trying to blame other factors. He just can't admit he got it wrong. What an ego!

Our list isn't good enough. We'll need to do some form of list overhaul before we can contend again which will take years.

I agree but unfortunately it looks like insufficient intent will still apply inside the arcs.

The last touch rule should of come in decades ago. It's a shame it's only between the arcs which doesn't completely remove the subjectivity.

If he was the best of the experience coaches available why were so few people mentioning Buckley's name when Goodwin's job was in jeopardy and when he was sacked?

It's interesting. When Goodwin was sacked, very few people were thinking Buckley, but as soon as it looked liked he was going to get the job people jumped on board

There's actually a lot of difference between the two. A demon is an evil spirit while a Tasmanian devil is an animal.

It's not a decision we should be rushing. We have to get it right.
