  1. Only in Melbz… forecast top of 42 yet still need to pack a brolly 😅
  2. In the past they’ve cancelled sessions due to extreme heat and even due to heavy rain. But that’s not the case now. I’d say only hail or lightning would effect a cancellation nowadays.
  3. I was told there’s no change to start time today, nor to intensity or length of the session. Peter, the head physio said “we play in all conditions, we train in all conditions.” Anyways as I type this it’s starting to rain here in Snorbs (the stabbing capital of Victoria) so it might not be as bad as forecast. 🤷‍♀️
  4. This is the case. 🤫 According to JT and Richo.
  5. You know who’ll happily and proudly talk about the Casey boys? Tom Couch, for one. He’s super proud of the results he’s seeing (which clearly has a lot to do with him working with them). He said, “Have you seen the Casey lads lately?!” He actually said this a couple of times. 🤩
  6. That’s the plan! I hope it never drops. I’m having too much fun 🥳
  7. Great points, MB. Clarrie’s hand being back to what it was pre-injury is huge. Interestingly, on Friday he commented on how ugly the scar is, first time he’s mentioned the aesthetic of it. I’m not an expert but I took that to mean previously there was more to worry about than how it looks. I told him scars are great because they’re unique, like fingerprints, no two are the same. Also, that every scar has its own story, be it good or bad, an example of a “good” scar being one that signals cancer has been removed. Lastly, I told him scars are a godsend for people with prosopagnosia (face blindness) since they’re a distinguishing mark which aids in recognising someone. I’m quite sure he doesn’t see his scar as so ugly now. I’d know if he did anyways. He’s a permanently open book is our Claz.
  8. When WCW is at training, so too am I. We’re never apart. You in fact did see me at Gosch’s on Friday, you said so yourself. Anyways I’d like to think you find my commentaries as entertaining as WCW’s 🤗
  9. I mean the off-field changes. As for on-field, what you say is true: what we see in match sims isn’t necessarily a true representation of what we’ll see on gameday. It can’t be, for the reasons you’ve cited. Besides that, there’s been no sessions at Casey thus far and Casey sessions are where more is revealed, away from prying eyes. But last year and the year before weren’t anything like this year. It feels as though I’m watching an entirely different Club. Even small changes, for example: mouth-guards. Pretty sure I didn’t see a single mouth-guard last preseason. Seeing a few this year though. That’s just one of many changes.
  10. I was saying this to a friend this evening. It’s like we had to fall to such a low in order to start over and climb our way back up. If we had fallen only a little way we’d be tempted to keep patching things up. This way, we’re compelled to make big ballsy changes, which we’ve done, and so far it’s working. Bring on 2025!
  11. GW is a her. WCW will confirm. You said you saw WCW at Gosch’s yesterday, right? I was at Gosch’s yesterday. I might’ve seen you but didn’t know it was you. You definitely saw me. 😉
  12. Believe me, I’m trying! I’m trying so hard. Not everyone is blessed with a thick skin. I don’t enjoy being so sensitive; it sucks. And while I’m not quite at Chris Tavarê levels of leaving, I’m trying to let more go through to the keeper. But even that’s no guarantee I’ll not get out. If I stray from my crease I’ll likely be Alex Carey-ed and even up the non-striker’s end I’ll expect to be mankad-ed. That’s a light-hearted way to describe something that personally is a lifelong struggle. I’ve put known haters on ignore. This poster’s delivery caught me off guard ☹️
  13. Groundhog Day 🙄 same sch!tt, different poster I share (a small amount of) what I’m told. I don’t fabricate anything… ever. I don’t embellish anything… ever. Some players and staff read Demonland (that’s a fact) so I’d be an !d!ot to post “fantasy” right? I’ve been told negative things too but I choose not to share such. Please understand that it’s comments like yours above that will drive people like me away. I’m not gonna deal with this every single [censored] week. You think I lie and/or embellish? Fine, that’s your belief (even though it’s inaccurate). But is it necessary to post these accusations? What have you achieved by doing so? I can’t report your post since you haven’t broken any DL rules (being a jerk doesn’t constitute a breach) but honestly, read the [censored] room.
  14. You jest, but in terms of availability, as things stand now, we’ll be spoilt for choice. Even the players in “rehab” - and I use that term for want of a better one - no one’s walking around on one leg. Training this off-season is very different. Sunday is the only full day they are free from any type of training. The conditioning program is different and there’s a more conservative approach to deeming when a player is fully ready to go. There’s also a lot more programming for the individual. It’s not one size fits all. Yesterday I was told by the admin. of a certain (wonderful) Dees fan forum 😉 that I say this every year. And I guess I do. But this year stands out. So many procedures etc. have changed, new personnel, a new mindset, a newfound sense of pride and unity and a hunger not seen for years; the transformation is astounding. Have faith and get excited y’all. ❤️💙
  15. Come on, PF. You’re gonna make a judgement (and a harsh one at that) based on last year at Casey and *two hours yesterday? “He has to EARN his spot”??? What do you think he’s been doing for the past two months? How else can he earn his spot? There’s really not much more he can do. *of those two hours yesterday you were also paying attention to all the other players too. Hell, probs a solid 90 mins of that was just focussing on Jeffo. 🥰
  16. It’s understandable that many will have reservations re Shane Mc. But as you said, only time will tell. I’m super excited for him though. He’s maintained for the past few weeks that he’s a cert to play in round one. Even Goody has confirmed it (barring any unforeseen issue between now and round one). Shane has been working extremely hard and is so proud of himself. He’s dropped six kilos and is lean and toned and this is the fittest he’s ever been. Up until now he’s had a problem with stamina… running wasn’t his strong point. But what an amazing improvement! This has resulted in a level of confidence he says he’s not experienced before. Goody and Selwyn are delighted with how much effort he’s putting in and he’ll be rewarded, as he should be.
  17. I have no idea what you’re talking about
  18. I have no idea of what green apple splatters means, but yes, there were learnings had, the main one being don’t trust Richo nor Chocco… two seasoned sch!tt-stirrers.
  19. Did he? I never noticed 😅 And now you’re gonna say “but you must’ve noticed since you told him to leave it off” and I’ll flatly deny it coz you can’t prove it. 😁
  20. Thank you, Dingo. I remind you of WCW, do I? She also reps the DA, and the coaches and admin are massive DA fans, which is awesome. ❤️💙
  21. Poop-shute update: So on Wednesday Richo told me Vines was crook in the guts as a result of eating a dodgy prawn on a pizza the night before. Specifically, he’d knowingly eaten a prawn that still had its poop-shute. Richo told me if I go on Demonland I’m to tell everyone that “silly Jack” ate something he knew would make him ill. So I did. This morning Richo came over and told me I need to hug Jack and apologise because he (Jack) had found out I’d told DL. So after training I told Jack I need to apologise for poop-shute-gate. He said, “bloody Richo… he stitched me up!” Then he said, “imagine anyone believing that story.” I said I believed it. Jack said, “bloody Richo… stitched us both up!” So there was no dodgy prawn (with or without poop-shute) and the truth is a few of the players had a stomach bug which made them very ill but was short-lived. Fritta was afflicted today and I’m guessing so too was Maysie.
  22. At training in the first week of preseason, maybe third session (on the Friday). I told him there were two players who’ve yet to debut and I was wondering about their progress (Jeffo and Sesto). Without hesitating he said, “Matty will play in the firsts, that’s gonna happen and it’ll be early in the season.” Then he said, “Ollie’s still a way off at this point but he’ll get there.”
  23. That’s exactly right. Apparently they all have a certain number of kms to complete and this varies from player to player. They also have a set amount of weight training (strength training) to complete, again this varies from player to player. For example, while most of them were off to hit the showers after training, ”Halfway” (Howes) for one was off to the gym to complete his time. Tomorrow morning, like every Saturday morning, they have hill sprints at stupid o’clock (7am I think). In the past you’d only ever hear them moan about this. Not anymore though, haven’t heard a single complaint this preseason. Well, almost no complaints… Steve the property steward was telling me that despite an expected top of 40 degrees on Monday the boys will be training just as hard and for just as long. Spargz was doing stretching exercises behind Steve and must’ve heard our conversation because when Steve said this, he (Spargz) moved his head to the side so as I could see him and mouthed “[censored]!” 😂
