Instead of targeting a key fwd in the trade period, we elected to recruit billings and mcadam. We also gave contract extensions to schache and Laurie. All 4 are struggling in the vfl and is a big reason why we are struggling this year.

I'm just highlighting how a club that has beaten us (west coast), has managed to recruit a mid season draftee from Victoria, get them training and playing that same week (kicking 5 in the wafl) and gets announced his debut the following week Meanwhile our mid season recruit starts training the following week after the draft, and will probably be in the 2s all year No not going to destroy the club. But maybe shows you the different standards between the 2 clubs

Luker has his first training day on Tuesday, meanwhile Jack Hutchison gets told he's debuting the next day. I feel like a ready made player would have been a better fit
