Pickett almost certain to sign per Ryan Daniels.

OUT: Laurie (omitted), Johnson (susp) IN: Viney, Van Rooyen Sub: Sharp

Plays the sub role perfectly. Has struggled to have any impact when he plays full games imo.

OUT: Spargo IN: Viney Sharp to remain as the sub. He is such a good sub but doesn’t have enough of an impact when playing a full game. AJ doesn’t get much of it but it’s what he does without the ball that has an impact. Think we persist with him for now. Feel sorry for T Mac. Did nothing wrong to get dropped but there just isn’t a spot for him right now with all of May, Lever, Disco and Petty fit.

Bonner is the typical star at VFL but no good at AFL level type of player. Was beyond horrendous for St Kilda so his delisting came as no surprise. Would be wasting a list spot if we were to take him.

OUT: Henderson, Sharp, Spargo, Melksham IN: Fullarton, Jefferson, McVee, Tholstrup (sub) Fullarton to provide the ruck chop-out so JVR can play solely as a forward. Four main targets up forward in JVR, Fritsch, Jefferson and Fullarton. With Koz and Chandler as the small forwards. Trac to spend more time in the middle. Windsor to the wing. B: Petty, May, McVee HB: Salem, McDonald, Bowey C: Windsor, Petracca, Langdon HF: Fritsch, Jefferson, Langford F: Pickett, JVR, Chandler R: Gawn, Oliver, Viney I: Lindsay, Sparrow, Rivers, Fullarton Sub: Tholstrup

So sounds like; OUT: Johnson, Sharp IN: Turner, Pickett You would expect that if Lever is good to go then he would replace the player who was a late in for him last week, which was Howes.

Does anybody have the inside word on who our sub will be? You would think it will be a debutant. Kind of hoping it’s Sharp as I hate the notion of somebody playing their very first game in the AFL as sub. Sharp could be an absolute weapon coming on when all others are tiring, cutting up the opposition with his speed. Would make sense to replace one of the talls in Johnson or Jeffo.
