  1. Great leading patterns by the forwards. Kentfield rewarded with the goal.
  2. I've seen enough. We're back!
  3. Just checking, Demonland pre season game rules haven't changed this year? If we lose, it's just a practice match and means absolutely nothing. If we win then the flag is ours for the taking, anything less than top 4 is a complete and utter failure?
  4. I mean, it's a pre season nothing game and all that but St Kilda looked good. Ball movement was superb.
  5. Appreciate the time and effort that was put into the track. It's a no from me though. The "C'mon Demons" song is cheesy and objectively a terrible song. It is however, a piece of Demons history and much like the new Demons membership drive videos, having it at the start of the pod is a bit of humourous poke at our past. I smile every time I hear it. I occasionally watch the video just to cringe/laugh at it.
  6. I'm sure someone here will know who it is, but whoever is running the social media dept this year is doing a brilliant job. This is fantastic. I feel like MFC are going all in on the re brand. New players, new coach, new direction entirely.
  7. I had a chat around the water cooler earlier. A very reliable source told me that Bailey Humphreys is still keen as mustard to be a Dee. I've had to sneak to the toilet cubicle to type this. Will continue to stalk the water cooler over the next few days. More to come.....
  8. Great article. According to the training reports he's really attacking the ball this year. I think a new faster game style will be awesome for him. More space and more freedom. If Checkers is in then hopefully Roo won't have the big gun defender on him all the time as well. Go well big fella.
  9. Ah damn. Always up against it to beat that outfit. Just goes to show that the gap is closing and I think this year will be Norths last year of domination. Awesome game by the girls. Effort and intensity was brilliant.
  10. Unless they are the second coming of Ablett (Sr or Jr) let's leave the WA kids there. Save ourselves some future heartache.
  11. 2025/2026 may not be all that memorable on field but the quality banter and content over the last few days has brought great joy in an otherwise pretty bleak period for the club. Carry on Demonland.
  12. No trac to take votes away and Clarry back to his best? 2026 brownlow incoming! What a story that would be.
  13. Ok Steven, you've had your fun. Now get to work.
  14. Thank you for that beautiful response. Having to buy a ticket to get into his first seniors game is hilarious!
  15. I love hearing about those days. The 24/7 nature of footy news and media, especially at the moment when there is a lull in between finals and the off season sometimes makes people forget that there was a simpler time. When footy players still had jobs and interacted with the community and weren't on a pedestal above it. I listen to the podcast regularly and often hear @binman mention Robbie. I've even heard opposition fans say that he was the best we've ever had. I thought it was about time I tried to find out about the man. I can see from the replies just how much he means to a lot of people. Just as many have mentioned what a nice guy he was as they have how good at footy he was. Speaks volumes of his character as well as footy calibre.
  16. By the looks of his highlights, he was too agile and quick for them!
  17. Did he have this store whilst playing or was this after?
  18. Sounds a champion in every sense of the word. Thanks everyone. I wish I could have seen him play.
  19. Just a quick distraction from all the speculation going on currently, I would like to ask the Demonland community a question that I have often wondered about but never asked. How good was Robbie Flower? I was born in 86, and didn't really take footy seriously until a teenager so missed him by a decade or 2. I have heard stories of how good he was but would love to hear from anyone who actually saw him play, what was he like? Is their anyone in the modern era you would compare him to?
  20. Good communicator. Interesting that Selwyn is here to stay at this stage. Very encouraging chat about the game plan. Like someone said earlier though, fast ball movement to get the ball on the forward line whilst it isn't so crowded is all well and good but it all depends on who takes that last kick into the 50. If it's Trac or Clarry then the chances of it being to the forwards advantage are less than stellar and leaves the forward with a battle to get the ball. JVR and Co will need to hit the gym with ferocity if they are going to be left to battle one on one against key defenders. Time will tell though and I'm feeling good about MFC for the first time in a while.....feels weird.
  21. Be careful what you wish for.
  22. I definitely had trouble with Demonland for a few hours post St Kilda. Wasn't sure if it was thousands like me, logging in to vent or whether Andy had pulled the pin on the website in disgust. Either is understandable.
  23. What would the panel think is a fair pass mark for the last 3 games? Dogs, Hawks and Pies. I just want to compete. 4 quarters of effort if not skill. If we could pull an upset over one of them then I'll be over the moon but I think realistically, with all 3 of them fighting for finals/top 4 spots then we will well and truly be up against it. No capitulations, no slow starts or turning into training cones to finish the game. I hope they do it for the fans and to give us some hope that the future is ok.
  24. I think every single supporter on Demonland feels exactly the same way. On the off chance that the podcast does end up going on, could someone please explain to me what the **** just happened? I'm more meaning tactically but in a general sense as well. Did Ross Lyon just put on a masterclass and Goody failed to adjust? Did the players just give up? Are we just completely and utterly [censored]? 3 quarters of great football and then a team who is well known for being able to turn it on occasionally is allowed to just waltz through the corridor at will. The club has just absolutely [censored] the bed. No CEO, President is absent and we roll out a performance like that. I've pretty firmly been in favour of Goody being allowed to see out this mini rebuild but after today I don't see how he can. Memberships tally will take a massive hit and we have all gone back to the days of being absolutely embarrassed to be a Dee's fan. Darkest day since Kardinia park. Bless you if you have the strength to turn the microphones on this week, if not, I completely understand.
