Maynard must get at least four weeks
I understand fans of certain clubs can let their passion get in the way of a little empathy but caring more about whether their player gets suspended or not over the welfare of an opposition’s players health whose career might be potentially over is just sad & a tad pathetic if you ask me. We all love our footy but some fans need to remember it’s just a game at the end of the day.

FIXTURE: 2023 Finals
Thursday Night games in finals are ridiculous & need to go for Sunday Arvo first week of finals. The way it should be structured is: 1 v 4 Fri Night 5 v 8 Sat Arv 2 v 3 Sat Night 6 v 7 Sun Arv • Qualifying finals teams should always get rewarded with prime time slots. • 1st should always get the right to be the Friday night game. • Teams with the double chance should always get rewarded with an extra days rest over elimination final winners. • If it’s fine for teams to play on the Sunday & then back up on the Saturday the next week during the H&A season, then it’s fine to do so in finals.

PREGAME: QF vs Collingwood
I don’t mean to be rude but I’m really starting to question the intelligence of a couple of you wanting Grundy back in the team. We literally went over this after the Carlton game, Max becomes half the player he is when he has to split ruck duty with Brodie & because Brodie is one dimensional you end having to play him more ruck than Max for him to be effective.

PREGAME: QF vs Collingwood
Only change id make is obvious Melk for TMac. Bring TMac to CHF & make Smith our sub. Laurie had some really nice touches so I’d keep him in too. While Disco isn’t necessarily as good as Tommo yet when defending one on one, he’s a much better intercept marker so I’d keep him in. At the end of the day you really only want to make a change if you have too when you’re consistently winning & especially leading into finals.

FIXTURE: 2023 Finals
Carlton v Swans/Giants/Dogs over Collingwood v Melbourne on the Friday Night might be one of the stupidest decisions I’ve seen the AFL has made. Collingwood are the biggest team in the comp, we’re coming off a premiership 2 seasons ago & both teams play at the MCG. Thursday Night is a 7:20 game, Friday Night a 7:50 game. You lose a couple of thousand in attendance because of that. Well done AFL lol

You know the AFL are going to do everything in its power to make sure it’s Collingwood v Melbourne for that first Qualifying final on the Friday Night.

PREGAME: Rd 24 vs Sydney
Laurie showed some good signs but if Fritsch is ready he comes straight in for him. Will be interesting to see what they do with CHF. I’d like Smith to stay there but Tommo was pretty ordinary today & TMac kicked 3 goals in the VFL today so wouldn’t be shocked if Smith goes to CHB, TMac goes straight into CHF & Tommo gets dropped or becomes the Sub in case TMac is poor.

- How far away is Matt Jefferson?
With the sad news of Petty combined with his injury history it’s not out of the realm of possibility this move forward isn’t permanent especially if Jefferson emerges. As someone who doesn’t watch any VFL at all I just wanted to get a gage from the guys who know a bit more than me. How long is he away from the AFL ? How good will he eventually be ? Is he more of a full forward or centre half forward ? etc … Discuss.- 2023 Injury List
I understand the reason why the AFL is so worried about concussions but they’ve gone too far with it. It’s a contact sport, head knocks are going to happen. It’s only a matter of time before a player gets a career ending leg injury because of the reasons stated above.
