Blake Howes 2026
Is he due for a role change? He could be our link up player coming our defence , we have been desperate for some good contested marking players. Especially under Goodwin's era we'd often bail long to no one. Side note , is Steven May any chance of being trialed as a Forward? Could he spend the summer training as a Forward what's to lose ?? POSITION: Medium Forward/Wing SNAPSHOT: “A highly athletic forward with the capacity to play through further afield, Howes catches the eye with his highlight reel moments in the forward half.” As an AFL Academy member, Vic Metro representative and Sandringham Dragons product, Blake Howes was able to impact across every level of football he played in 2021, showing off his impressive athleticism when given the opportunity. The 190cm talent was mostly played as a half-forward for the year, but was gradually afforded more opportunities up on the wing as the season went on, suggesting there is a fair amount of development left for him in that area of the ground. Having enjoyed his venture up the field, Howes is a prospect who can count himself particularly unlucky as the Victorian season was cut short just as he found his best form. STRENGTHS: + Vertical Leap + Overhead Marking + Clean Hands + Athleticism + Upside

The 2025 AFL Draft Thread
Swadling looks like a real player! I noticed he was in almost every passage of okay from Farrow's highlights. All the videos watched to finally accept him and now he is going to the dons. Swadling seems a great ball user of both feet too.

Cumming looc Same with farrow, they say his kicking is a weapon yet none of his kicks are with penetration or fast and low. Just long to contests and he missed a few targets when under pressure. ( Yes All from YouTube clips so im an expert ) Also with Nairn , I'm sure the insight from club level is way deeper than anything the media or YouTube nuffys know, I've herd there is interest for him in the early teens so if JT rates him then luckily we have the opportunity to select ahead of them .

AFL Draft 2025: Picks 7 & 8
Someone convince me Farrow is a good prospect. I've seen a lot of uncontested possession and lockout ours. Also he doesn't have a weapon of a kick like Lindsay , havnt seen him take on dangerous options and nail those targets in the videos I've seen.

AFL Draft 2025: Phantom Drafts
From the videos I watched his disposal was great. They where highlights though. He made some very good decisions and took on some risky kicks and nailed them.

AFL Draft 2025: Phantom Drafts
Does Sharpe have good lateral movement, evasiveness ? Is he a good ball user atleast? I see he dominated a lot of games but think about how many draftees come in and dominate VFL but aren't suited to AFL ....

AFL Draft 2025: Picks 7 & 8
Cody Curtin brother of Dan. Very intriguing write up .... A powerful key forward who can also provide back-up in the ruck, Curtin was playing as a key defender in the WAFL Colts for much of last year but now looks best suited to the attacking end of the ground. A strong physical presence inside-50, he excels in one-on-one contests, has good hands overhead, is a penetrating kick and generally finishes off his work in front of goal. The knock has been Curtin’s agility, but he possesses reasonable endurance for a player of his size. The younger brother of Adelaide young gun Daniel, Curtin bookended his under-18 national championships campaign for Western Australia with three-goal games against Vic Country and Vic Metro but was quieter in the other two matches. Curtin then had a monster day out upon his return to Claremont in the WAFL Colts, kicking six goals from 16 disposals and eight marks (three contested), before being sidelined by shin splints. He returned in the run to finals, though, and kicked six goals from 10 disposals in Claremont’s premiership triumph over South Fremantle. The haul saw Curtin finish as the second-highest goalkicker in the WAFL Colts this season with 32.9 from his nine games.
