The league has fined Port Adelaide $100,000 for breaching AFL concussion protocols, with half included in the soft cap. What a total joke. Port should have started next year on minus eight points as a minimum.

Fines are not a big enough deterrent the AFL needs to start taking match points off clubs. Even if this was us I would be calling for match day points. This has the potential to bankrupt the AFL.

I have watched this the past few weeks and my first thought was some clubs will use it to stop momentum in close games. AFL need to make it clear that big fines even the loss of games point will occur if any club tries to milk it.

So they failed the test today that means they miss two games. Two games before they can be given the all clear.
