  1. They can still finish outside the top 4. I believe and hope they lose against Sydney, and potentially the blues could also beat them.
  2. I wanted people's opinion, I stand that percentage does correlate to success in September. I could be wrong but I did read some stats that the average % of premiership teams is something like 125 plus. I don't think there's been a premier with a percentage lower than 110 since the 8 finals teams system started.
  3. I am not convinced Collingwood are the real deal, my argument is their horrible percentage. I believe NM was the most recent team with a similar % that qualified in the top 4. NM went out in straight sets. Collingwood could have at least 3 or 4 more losses if it wasn't for after the siren goals, GC fading in the last quarter and us missing so many goals. What do you think about percentage and its value as an indicator of a team that can actually win it all?
  4. My kingdom for 2018 finals like supporters 🥲
  5. Did Naughton start as a back? I can't remember if WB started him in the backline and then out of necessity he was moved forward.
  6. Not a bad idea what some have proposed here. Only sell finals tickets to members that go to at least, for the sake of arguments, 75% of the H&A.
  7. There was also that botched kick by Kozzy (the target was Fritta), right after one of our goals (ANB or BB). We had the chance to be 7 points up, instead turnover and goal against.
  8. I think I read somewhere that the last top 4 team with a percentage as low as the Pies this year was NM. They ended up going out in straight sets (I believe it was early 2010s , around 2013 or 2014)
  9. Disco Turner could replace Tomlinson if we were to lose him
  10. Don't forget there was also the no calls on some of our tackling in our back 50. There was one goal that came directly from Ginivan dropping the ball while being tackled that was then picked by a Pies player and kicked a goal.
  11. For me they were not that big of a deal and the Pies took it as an insult. On top of that their thuggery at the start and during the match is unwarranted. They have anger management issues and umpires shouldn't condone unnecessary violence.
  12. Did we finish 5th that season? I can still see Collingwood finishing 5th, I think that is more possible and realistic than them finishing 2nd. They have two really hard games coming, Sydney at SCG and Carlton potentially playing to stay in the 8. Collingwood can easily lose both and with their horrid percentage it's like they have half a game handicap compared to the other top 4 contenders.
  13. I have two topics in mind: A) Is it worthy give JVR a go this late in the season? At the very least can be an unpredictable player for opposition defenders. B) Where have our members gone? I sit in the redlegs reserved area, which is supposed to be sold out. Have only missed a couple of home games and not once the bay I sit has been at more than 50 or 60% capacity (the best I have seen were round 1 and last Friday). I feel us as supporters need to do better 🤷🏻‍♂️ Looking forward to the podcast, need some catharsis after last Friday night.
  14. We all know Melbourne is full of champion players (figuratively and literally). Whilst the Pies are full of Fake thugs.
  15. I see Carlton and can't stop thinking that's where the filth should be in the ladder, whereabouts. Both teams have similar percentage, started hot earlier in the season with a new coach. As someone has said before Collingwood is a statistical anomaly, anomalies don't win premierships.
  16. Well we've got ourselves a nice opportunity next week to recover from this week's loss. Carlton will be deflated and missing some key players (Cripps included). Collingwood plays against Sydney so we could see Collingwood fall from grace next week if they loss, due to their miserable percentage, they could fall to 5th? Then just one last game to decide our fate against Brisbane at the Gabba. MFC can be sitting 2nd, 3rd , 4th or 5th at the end of it. Still a lot to play for!
  17. It makes you wonder where's everybody that attended those 2018 finals games? Our supporters should be more confident and bullish about the team this year than back then.
  18. Don't know, it feels more like psychological and structural/strategy issues for me. One thing is clear some of our leaders have let our team down in critical moments when the pressure was up.
  19. Pies are dogs, just look at their "role models": Ginivan 🤮 Cox 🤮🤮🤮 Even Pendlebury acted like one last night and I always thought of him as one of the most decent players in that mob. De Goey (indicted in the US for Assault) 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
  20. Yeah I saw that too, I think it was the dog called Mason Cox who kicked his hand in the second term.
  21. We got nothing to lose by bringing JVR in. At the very least he's an unknown player and opposition defenders won't pay too much attention to him. He could potentially feast on smaller defenders and open spaces, while the tall defenders worry only about BBB and Fritta. Perhaps the same reason Bowey worked last year in our run to finals.
  22. And even then he was almost caught, I was biting my nails until I saw the ball being kicked
  23. Nah, they are flat track bullies. Very quiet until they gained momentum in the third. We do need to be more loud though, but I think at moments we were. Specially in the 4th, trying to rally the boys to a victory.
  24. He is not completely wrong. The umpires kept them in the game in the first half, granted our goal kicking deficiency too. There was also a goal that came from Ginivan dropping the ball, what the F**K is that?!
