  1. What did the reserves coach do wrong ?
  2. Am I allowed to run a sweep on how many posts this thread will garner by, say, June 30 2030 ? P.S. It was deliberate.
  3. I don't think she has been made to look foolish at all. In my personal opinion, but as a lawyer with 40 years experience in high court, federal court, supreme Court etc.,the AFL presented it's case very poorly. Also did poor job pushing back on pies submissions. Also, in my opinion, Gleeson has got himself tied in knots and some of his analysis was plain wrong. But, perhaps I am wrong. But, what is clear, if it was a correct application of the Rules, the Rules need changing. Until then, apparently the best way to take out an opposition player is head on just after he has disposed of the ball.
  4. My 3 thoughts on a very disappointing day: 1. the rules read as if they were written by monkeys and are certainly administered by monkeys 2. this will have negative impacts ( no pun intended ) including participation 3. opening line of class action case "Your honour, this sport allows this ( play Maynard thuggery )". Game over.
  5. If the Brayshaws let him in the front gate they are bigger people than me. They must have recognised him coming down the path, otherwise with the Collingwood jumper and that head they would have assumed it was a burglar.
  6. The rules are very poorly written. Particularly this rule, I think 22. Needs a re-write.
  7. In my opinion 1. There was no genuine smother attempt. If you want to take out an opposition player...you wait till a plausibly defendable situation arises, eg punch to head when it might have been the ball, deliberately falling on a player, deliberately stepping on a player or pretending to smother when it is a disguised charge. 2. If Maynard takes up athletics - it should be long jump not high jump. 3. The gift of wine. An action befitting that moronic head. ( Still, I'm surprised the danny frawley wellness center is next to the bar and the pokies so perhaps Im too sensitive.) 4. For the rest of his life Brayshaw will be able to show his kids/ grandkids his premiership medal. Maynard can explain why he hasn't got one. ( If pies win GF which I doubt )
  8. I will watch games today...mute when BT comes on. Second worst commentator in the game. His commentary in the pies v melb game was beyond moronic. Oh, Kellie Underwood my worst. That voice...intolerable.....it must be an act...like Julia Gillard. Melbourne law and spoke like a wharfie...apologies to wharfies.
  9. To quote the great man in dumb and dumber.." so you are saying there's a chance". If it is 50/50 each game then we have a 12.5% chance. But that isn't quite right...character, resolve and luck play a part. Mainly character and resolve.
  10. That was a dog act by septic. And he doesn't have the excuse of spur of the moment...he knew what he was doing and kept doing it. No excuse. Still, Collingwood. Expect better ?
  11. Deliberate hit disguised as an attempted smother in my opinion.
  12. I would send him up to Darwin this calendar year for a few games. He can take Kye Turner and Faris White with him. Plus a trainer. They could all use a few games.
  13. Good effort from Casey boys. Very badly let down by MFC.
  14. Half time. 8 of the top 10 possession getters are Casey unlisted players. Faris-white and Jefferson : 0
  15. Quarter time...hasn't touched it and doesn't look overly keen to add to his stats.
  16. Keep reading a bit further...you will get to the part where it deals with what happens where the AFL team is still in finals.
