  1. Yes, it was he or Bedford at the time. I thought Bedford's pace should have given him the edge but now I'm happy. He's really developed over the last two years. That double effort for Trac's goal should be venerated.
  2. I agree I agree. Very doubtful May will ever get his body right again to play consistently. They need to get serious about going beyond the May Lever backline. JvR could perhaps go back where he has the game in front of him.knockingthe ball out and marking...maybe to get back into form or maybe as a KPB. Moore started as a forward at the Pies and later found his niche as a KPB. I don't think JVR has the mobility or aerial balance and recovery to twist and turn that is required for a dominant forward. Neither does he work well at ground level. He gets a few frees but has never played a dominant game changer..Max 3 goals.. Try him back.
  3. Grundy,Jordan,Bedford,Hogan, Jackson,Hunt, Harmes, Howe,Nibbler,Baker Of those Grundy, Jordan Bedford Hunt Harmes and Baker were forced out due to lack of opportunity . They would have stayed if.... Hogan need love Howe was played out of position and chose to leave. Hunt had 16 possessions this week and 300+ metres gained Jordan has cemented his place in a far better side Grundy could have rucked and Max could have provided a target at FF..he marks everything but Max was selfish. Who is running player development ? Who enforces contracts?
  4. I don't think rushing back a player from a broken hand is smart at all. Six weeks for fractures and hands are tricky. They did it with Oliver last year and it didn't go well at all
  5. Yes, Jordan was solid not give time to cement his place ..too often the sub. Bedford was fast and hard, not given a chance. Chandler got the nod, and Harmes, premiership player for Billings., well, Billings was a reject...why on earth would they pay for him...money down the drain. We need pace because we simply dont have those players running past the marker to move it on. Just doesnt happen. Brown needs to be an in this week
  6. Petty...out not up to AFL...soft..slow..trade him out JVR..out..not up to AFL..is a real stiff...unless he stars in VFL, trade him out to Perth Spargo....1 touch very dubious another chance must start the game Sharp...out....not doing it yet.. needs to star in VFL Henderson....marrieds to lift in VFL..out Rivers...out....needs to regain form in VFL 5 outs 5 ins Fullerton..in Lever...in MacVee..in Jefferson ..in Lindsey.in Why didn't Langford start in Round 1 Performed well in North practice game That was a bad, bad decision..He's in and we win that one and he plays Rnd 2 Starts Rd3 and cleans up Whoever is responsible for that decision needs to be shown the door forthwith.
  7. Yes on.both counts JVR not doing it...enough chances. Petty is a one trick pony..Can hold a few marks ..when he's on but TOO SLOW and can read the play
  8. Here's my Plan..!!! Forget all the Hype, Huggies and High Fives!! Forget the Stats!! Forget Goody and the thousands of coaches and overpaid hangers on. Revert to the Ted Whitten Game Plan...The only plan that has ever worked. Follow Plan A..There is no Plan B Plan A is...... See Ball, Get Ball, Kick Ball!!! Hit 'em Hard and Hit'em often and do it with..... 110% Guts and Determination for 110 minutes!!!
  9. No worries...it was always a "thereabouts comment" but I was always a fan and do remember extensive time in the twos so highpicks playing in the VFL is not necessarily harshand am hoping Langford reaches his full potential..maybe lose a couple of kgs, gain pace muscle tone, and defensive skills..I am sure they look at the draft for potential ... Oliver shot up the ranks in his draft year and was in it almost as an unknown..was chubby to say the least!!
  10. Oliver was about pick 5 and played a year in the VFL
  11. No Way Sparrow ready to breakout...Got dropped for one week last year and killed it for Casey Great kick for goal from 50..Stays playing half forward
  12. Only Until week 4!!!
  13. TMac is a must in best 22 on.both last year's and this year's form.. Howes is a no-go
  14. Dropped Sparrow for one game last year....It's a good idea to shake them up a bit..
  15. Re. Forward line Agree. Fritsch is best close to goals. He's a true forward, and has a great balanced mark and recovery for second effort as qell as snaps and set shots. An opportunist.Should not have been sent back as backup defender..Bad decision With physicality of AJ... he should get more opporunities Sparrow should play within striking distance but given freedom to move up the ground...is a good long kick for goal .Played Well JVR disappointing Do like Turner as a lead ..to come back And, other comments. TMac is in our best 22... Can't beat experience and can go forward Howes pretty ordinary defending against leading forward TMac always ahead of him in selection Didn't see the run and carry from Rivers..I reckon with two doing that in tandem Rivers and Windsor, and wingers Lindsay and Langton we would have a good weapon for fast movement into the forward line.. Debutantes all pretty serviceable .. 🤣
  16. Lose ball... can't fine it anywhere!! Loose ball...go get it!!
  17. And for the pedants and grammarians amongst us, after all, we are the club of toffs, add these...hence means from here, and thence means from there. So a triumvirate of words to help you sound really stuck up!!! Whence, Hence and Thence 🤣🤣
  18. Yes, is but not when it is used incorrectly. "whence" means "from where" so "from whence" is a tautology. "From" in that instance was redundant.
  19. Yes Forwards always work better when Melksham is there to run the show. TMac must be played ahead of Howes or Hore Fritsch close to stay in 50 mt arc JVR to CHF Howes No Billings No
  20. Not only that, although he's a good mark.. he always slows down the play after marking, and kicking is not so reliable ..Looks as if theyre wanting to move the ball faster now. Seems 2023 was beginner's luck...a bit flukey and when expectations rose he couldn't produce.
  21. He's too slow...both in running and decision making. Much better half back line with two accurate kicks on the flanks and run and carry from CHB TMac ahead of Petty..is sound.
  22. Um

Love the idea of the podcast but guys, you've got to improve your public speaking... too many Ums...especially Binman Just listen to the Adelaide podcast and BInman's stats Its ridiculous....Sorry I had to turn off just couldnt stomach the Ums I'll try again next week and see if youve fixed it Cheers
  23. Has anyone heard how Gus is travelling at the moment?? Deeblood
  24. Yes indeed! Not wanting to put the Moz on him but Sparrow is going to be special. He IS really an elite kick, delivered to Brown perfectly, nearly got two, and in a couple of other score involvements, kicks really long and got a few long bombs on the run through the season.... and ...he gets inside. And only approx 30 games at 21yo....? Going to be an unreal asset!!!
