  1. I was defending him against people who wanted to delist him two years ago. I still reckon he has at least as much to offer us as Jordie Gysberts.Bottom line is I bags'ed him first. You can still support him, but I'm first in line!
  2. I thought Evans was my boy.
  3. Clearly you've picked up that habit as a means of coping with your unneccessarily long and boring biopic. At least you learned more than me from that film.
  4. To be honest, I feel like I'd be able to do it too, but I know a lot of people who wouldn't. Not everyone has that kind of balls. To you and me, it might be easy, or you might feel that not looking at the coach will only make things worse. But not everybody is like that.
  5. Pretty damn easy to say sitting behind your computer. Have you ever had to make a speech in front of a small group of people who don't really care what you have to say? Imagine the nerves you get in that situation, then multiply it however much thousands of people riding on your every move would add to the pressure. And the nice big cherry on top is your senior coach going absolutely postal at you because of a mistake that you're already increadibly embarrassed about.
  6. Clearly I was a little overzealous in my initial comment. This is a silly thread, so my post's not out of place, but I refer you to my Demonland Player of the Year votes, where I gave Cale 2 votes. After a little more consideration of the game, I realized that there were a few others who were better than him. Also, when I said 2nd best on ground, I meant for Melbourne. It goes without saying that I couldn't give a rats who was good for Collingwood. PS is anyone else having a little trouble posting today? This site's lagging a little, and it caused me to accidentally triple post a while back. I'm on firefox, if it matters.
  7. 2nd best on ground. Haters gonna hate. Bad turnover though.

  10. Sorry, pal.
  11. If I do, it will make it considerably easier to be here till you die.
  12. Winning is the thing where you have tiger blood and finish on a higher score than your opponent. I know it's been a long time since we've won anything, so I don't blame you for not understanding.
  13. I only hate Hawthorn when they play us. The rest of the time I only envy and respect them.
  14. What do you know? So do we!
  15. Just alegedly hold a dangerous weapon for a couple of aleged minutes and you're right, it would seem . . . Alegedly.
  16. I think it's bad form to talk to yourself.
  17. I love going to [injunction] too. It's my absolute favourite place. I really love the steamed [censored] and the fried [patent pending]. I hope I can go there again someday . . . if I can still remember how to get there.
  18. Anyone who thinks hurt feelings mean jack is obviously never going to be a part of a successful us-vs-them environment. I liken sport to war, in that you develop an absolute brotherhood against the world - a team of fighters under the command of a select few who they may not like, but who they damn well respect. Mark Neeld is making these Demons salty, so that when the time comes, they will be ready to eat their own guts and ask for seconds. Get on or get off.
  19. I understand that you're unwilling to jump into bed with someone when you don't know how well they will perform, but someone who is really intent on sitting back and watching would be more discreet when doing so. Those who don't post at all (or rarely) on an issue are the ones who are really keen on observing without passing judgment. You can be content to watch without needing to inform everyone that you're doing so. But this is a footy forum, so if there's a place for that kind of thing anywhere, it's here.
  20. I'd prefer to be "up to my balls" with a new coach than waiting behind him with a cricket bat at the ready. There is no such thing as action in the pre-season and the closest thing to it is talk and good training, so I'm afraid that's what you're stuck with for now.
  21. I always assumed your nickname was just the a result of an unfortunate encounter with a jellyfish of some kind.
  22. Just for the record, my dislike for the Aussie cricket team is unusual. I support Australia in every other sport - just not this one My support for the Dees is unwavering. However. my dislike for the Aussie yobbo team may change after years of good behaviour and some cracking comebacks. They are Australia, after all.
  23. I used to have a picture of a chicken because of my name, but with the rise to fame of everyone's favourite meth distributor/fried chicken joint, I thought I'd go with that instead. So yes, it is Breaking Bad related, but it's a little less random than some picture of Gus smiling (which someone else went with). I'm pleased to know, however, that MFC supporters also have terriffic taste in television shows.
  24. Call me un-Australian but I get a little giddy inside when the Aussie cricket team suffers any kind of misfortune. Years of dominance and a string of off-field embarrassments have rendered me completely unable to root for Australia in any cricket game other than the Ashes (and only then if we're losing).
