I guess you don't know what the word rookie actually means.

I've been critical of him (perhaps only because of how high my expectations were), but he has an amazing kick and is apparently aware - and is working on - his weaknesses. Good on him.

I disagree on both counts. He actually is involved in a lot of possession chains, which means he doesn't turn it over. And slow? I don't think that's true either. He's no Patrick Dangerfield, but he's also no Jack Trengove either.

Agree on Pederson but Byrnes has been one of our better players this year.

Don't forget to pack the bar b cue.

I'd read it, but I'm worried that there'd be too much sex in the book (it being written by Gerard Whately and all).

The only thing that can replace a meal is another meal.

What would be more embarrassing to us? That our rejects are actually good, or that they suck? Surely it's the latter.

"Pine for the fjords!?" What kind of talk is that?

It's barely a footy thread. If it weren't so popular, I'd say it should be put in the Off-Topic section of the forum. But if it did go there, it would die a slow and horrible death because nobody ever visits Off-Topic.

Is that because the ice sucks or because it's a crime to put any ice in beer whatsoever.

Agreed. I hold no ill-will towards Chris Judd (or Tom Scully) for pursuing the largest contracts they could. But the extracurricular payments Judd gets makes me extraordinarily skeptical of his moral outlook. Likewise, Tom Scully's willingness to lie to people he had worked closely with for two years is just totally unnecessary and (to my mind) non-sensical. In the words of the judge from Shawshank, they strike me as "particularly icy and remorseless men." It chills my blood just to look at them. I don't have any real problems with lying, per se. It's unnecessary lying that I detest.

I was defending him against people who wanted to delist him two years ago. I still reckon he has at least as much to offer us as Jordie Gysberts.Bottom line is I bags'ed him first. You can still support him, but I'm first in line!

I thought Evans was my boy.
  15. Clearly you've picked up that habit as a means of coping with your unneccessarily long and boring biopic. At least you learned more than me from that film.
  16. To be honest, I feel like I'd be able to do it too, but I know a lot of people who wouldn't. Not everyone has that kind of balls. To you and me, it might be easy, or you might feel that not looking at the coach will only make things worse. But not everybody is like that.
  17. Pretty damn easy to say sitting behind your computer. Have you ever had to make a speech in front of a small group of people who don't really care what you have to say? Imagine the nerves you get in that situation, then multiply it however much thousands of people riding on your every move would add to the pressure. And the nice big cherry on top is your senior coach going absolutely postal at you because of a mistake that you're already increadibly embarrassed about.
  18. Clearly I was a little overzealous in my initial comment. This is a silly thread, so my post's not out of place, but I refer you to my Demonland Player of the Year votes, where I gave Cale 2 votes. After a little more consideration of the game, I realized that there were a few others who were better than him. Also, when I said 2nd best on ground, I meant for Melbourne. It goes without saying that I couldn't give a rats who was good for Collingwood. PS is anyone else having a little trouble posting today? This site's lagging a little, and it caused me to accidentally triple post a while back. I'm on firefox, if it matters.
  19. 2nd best on ground. Haters gonna hate. Bad turnover though.

If I do, it will make it considerably easier to be here till you die.

Winning is the thing where you have tiger blood and finish on a higher score than your opponent. I know it's been a long time since we've won anything, so I don't blame you for not understanding.

I only hate Hawthorn when they play us. The rest of the time I only envy and respect them.
