  1. I can't fault our effort but jesus our execution is bad. It's a shame because we've had some really promising passages of play.
  2. Our polish is still a bit off but we are already looking to move the ball with much more speed and dare. I wonder why...
  3. Fair enough. I just thought that you overstated supporters' involvement in the sacking because there's no way the board bases its decisions on what people on this site are saying (as @Jaded No More said earlier). But yeah, looking back I probably was harsh with the language that I used earlier so I apologise.
  4. Also funny how very certain people on this site scream 'bullying' when they are subjected to the exact same behaviour that they partake in on a regular basis.
  5. I'm sorry, joining a thread just to inflict the blame onto posters for an administrative decision that they had ZERO control over is the definition of hostile in my view. If you don't see it that way then so be it.
  6. Do you not see the irony in that comment? He literally came on this thread to moan about online strangers for having another opinion. And he's often the first person to start confrontations and resort to personal attacks. I'd say he's one of the most hostile people on this forum. Funny person to victimise.
  7. Oh please the people on this site have zero power over the decisions that the board makes. Grow up.
  8. Despite how chaotic the last few days have been I thought it would be a good opportunity to acknowledge a fine achievement from a great contributor for us. I have always had a lot of time for this guy. I thought he was arguably the best wingman in the game from 2020-2022. He's still a bloody fine player now though. His professionalism and durability are second to none. He's a great guy to have around the club too. I actually don't think he's a bad option for our next skipper. He seems like the introverted type but he's clearly very popular with his teammates. Best of luck for your 200th Ed!
  9. I really hope that we don't get Simpson. Given that West Coast are a far bigger and much more resourceful club than it us it says a lot that that they ended up becoming Melbourne 2013 levels of bad under his watch. They don't look like getting back on the up anytime soon either.
  10. Even dumber than bringing up Gawn smoking on the way to training when he was in his early 20s lol
  11. I've liked Fritsch's turnaround. The less said about his start to the season the better but his form over the past 8 weeks has been fairly close to the Fritsch of old. It's impressive that he can still end the year with 40 goals considering his early season form. I still think we'd be crazy to let him go at the end of the year.
  12. I miss ANB so much 🙁
  13. You surely can't be this thin-skinned right?. He made no personal attacks towards you at all. He was about as balanced as they come.
  14. Not to mention that Geelong were a powerhouse side that ended up winning flag while the Saints are currently a bottom five side.
  15. The irony is that Goodwin was in charge in 2018 when we were the most attacking side in the comp. The introduction of the 6-6-6 rule made him ultra defensive as he could no longer use tactics like having two players running from the back of the square.
  16. I know that people often like to point out that we finished in the top 4 in 2022/23 but I'm of the view that we actually didn't. In my perspective we finished 5th in 2022 and 6th in 2023. A real top 4 finish for me is making a preliminary final at the bare minimum. It shouldn't be about how flags are hard to win, it's about how we haven't won a single final since 2021 and are now back with the bottom of the pack. I get that we had things go against us (especially injuries) but we also had more than enough opportunities to put our opposition away, especially Brisbane in the 2022 SF and Carlton in the 2023 SF. That's why I look back at 2018 much more fondly than 2022/23. We won two finals in front of jam-packed MCG crowds and played a much more exciting, attacking brand of football.
  17. Yep some of the mental gymnastics that people are doing on here are insane
  18. He's made a litany of bad decisions since the flag. Last Sunday alone he used Spargo as the sub, played Petty up forward and put our two most dangerous forwards in Melksham and Pickett on the bench in the last quarter. And who could forget that Schache debacle in the 2023 SF against Carlton. That was one of the most bizarre and bewildering coaching decisions I've ever seen. Yes, our players should take a large portion of the blame but so should the coach. Those two things aren't as mutually exclusive as you think they are.
  19. Stop living in the past mate. 2021 has absolutely zero relevance to anything that's going on right now. I'm sure it would have looked pretty [censored] stupid if West Coast supporters were using the 2018 flag in 2022 as evidence that Simpson should stay.
  20. You really are the most bizarre poster I've ever seen
  21. Threatening someone because of a [censored] football game is absolutely sad and pathetic. Sucks that both he and Voss have had to deal with this.
  22. Yep a real top 4 finish is making a preliminary final at minimum
  23. Or the fact that we won a flag in 2021 and finished top 4 in 2022/23 (even though we technically didn't) as if any of those have any relevance to what's going on now
  24. Oh come on there were numerous pathetic coaching decisions today. Using Spargo as the sub, playing Petty in the forwardline when it was clearly a lost cause, and putting Melksham and Pickett on the bench in the last quarter. Of course this loss is on Goodwin. Get your head out of the sand.
  25. Thanks for the flag Goody but you are well and truly finished
