It’s almost impossible to keep this form up for the whole year and the competition is so even they will lose games. And hopefully they get caught in some loss of form, opposition strategy hole in the finals.

Yep I can certainly understand your view on that and I hope they do follow our path of 22. I am not concerned about how taxing their game style is though as they seemed fine at the end of last year, unless they get smashed up with injuries of course. Agree with you on the Sydney bit. Personally even if we beat Sydney and Collingwood during the season I won’t feel confident about playing them in finals, their styles seem to really trouble us.

I agree, it’s very early on but it feels like there a lock for a top four spot.

Collingwood remind me of Melbourne in 21, not the style but the team buy in and pressure. I can’t believe people are still doubting them, they look like they will be better this year than last year.

Richmond like us last Friday night lucky to be as close as they are at half time. Collingwood’s running backs / midfield group are the best in the comp in my opinion. A very strong team and going to be hard to beat this year.

If I was a betting person I would be loading up on Sydney at their odds and history of beating us. I would also take Luke Parker for best on ground.

It would be great to see the Gold Coast get their first win next week against the cats.

That’s a good question, I used to listen all the time then Hutchy took over and he did do a couple of ok things but largely ruined the station. I hardly listen to it at all now. The race for the top four and eight this year is going to be incredibly close.

I can’t believe how much cleaner Brisbane have been with handling the football.

Oliver and Petracca on the bench together, they have both been average but that is odd to have them off at the same time.

So many fumbles, no control at all, a couple of players a pass and that’s about it. Very lucky to be this close.

How hard is it watching games where you hope both teams lose.

This week if Salem is fit and depending on exact match ups in the backline I would have Brayshaw on the wing and would prefer to see Bowey, Rivers and Salem given an opportunity to rotate through the midfield to. I think Brayshaw is a better player than Hunter and has a better work rate than Hunter also. Bowey, Rivers and even Jordon are all good players who I think should improve a lot this year and could add something different to our midfield group particularly if McVee can hold his spot down back. I personally feel Hunter is better suited to the high half forward flanker role but I would still have ANB and Spargo in front of him. Just my opinion though.

Just my opinion that we have others in front of him. More than happy to eat my words on Hunter.

I have said it through the pre season I am out on my own on Demonland with my views on Hunter and he did nothing last night to convince me he should be playing in front of some of our young players or even Harmes on last nights form. And if Salem is fit I am definitely playing him in front of Hunter, just my thoughts. I don’t expect Hunter to be dropped but I would.
