    He was solid.

Upon replay viewing he was a lot more than solid.

That was a very impressive first outing after missing a whole year footy.  He seems to have some polish too and adds some silk to the midfield, something we needed in there.

Now to be greedy it would be good to see him getting around 20 possessions consistently the rest of the season.

In the interest of over analysing content from the club to guess team selection. Blue team looks like the ones. But there was a few who played on both sides including Jones, Sparrow, Viney and I think maybe Melksham. And as far as I could see Hunt was in the pink the whole time. Read into that what you will

Anyone know where I can buy the Vinyl of that amazing music they put over the top?

Do you think he will be ready come finals time? It would be good to have both he and Weid ready by then.

I doubt Brown will play many games for us.  Hope I am wrong but have zero faith in his knee.

In two weeks that will change to 426 and we will know he is out for the rest of the season.

pardon my skepticism but I'm not buying that Brayshaw is ok. Either the reporter is making his own call here or he has asked a club official at training that they've just said "she'll be right". Given the recent history Gus will need to get a scan before being cleared as ok not just a quick looksee in the rooms by the medicos. I would watch this space and take lots of grains of salt.

We only now found out that Harmes had surgery via the press and have still not had anything official from the club.

Once again poor communication to members in regards to injuries.

They will play him vs the Saints and his foot will fall apart.

  6. No way Gus will be risked, and fingers crossed its not something long term.

    In  -      Viney,   Bedford

    Out -    Harmes, Brayshaw

Bedford has been playing well at Casey and we need running power.  Saints seem like a perfect matchup for him.

    Early prognosis

It was a good week on the injury front for the Demons, with Hibberd (ankle), Melksham (hamstring) and Viney (foot) all making it through a VFL practice match unscathed. Their impending availability adds to the clean bill of health that the side enjoyed following Saturday's win over the Dockers. - Riley Beveridge

    RESULT

The jury has graded the incident as severe impact.

They came to that judgement considering the level of force and injuries sustained with particular reference to the Adelaide medical report.

That’s unfair. He is an inside mid. His primary role is to release the runners once he gains possession. He does that better than nearly all players in the league. He also had some nice kicks inside 50 that set us up.
His hands in close are elite. Can he improve his outside game? Sure. But that is not and will never be his primary role.

He is highly rated by all league coaches. There is a reason for that.

Cant believe some people are complaining about his game on the weekend.  He got the 4 and 3 votes from the coaches but some still think he had little influence.

Maybe they prefer we'd have drafted Darcy Parish or Aaron Francis and left Oliver for the Bombers at pick 5 or 6.

. I would, however, not keep Chandler as the sub. Either play him from the get-go or leave him out of the team.

Zero chance hes the sub again.  I doubt any player would ever be sub 2 weeks in a  row especially a kid who needs to be playing for his development.

Harmes will be out with injury.

(For a fair while too probably)

If your mail is right bad luck for Harmesy, but for the team, it will be a blessing in disguise.  More time on the ball for Angus and more midfield time for Jordon and Sparrow.

Just watched  On Utube our match v GWS the last round before the finals in 2018. Although I was at that match, I hadn’t realised just how clever was Spargo, both by hand and foot setting up a number of goals . Lost his way last year, but having watched this I believe we should persevere with hiM

The little fella was at it again on the weekend.   He has the midas touch.

For all the angst he cops on here he is absolutely vital to our team.

Encouraging selfless footy is great, and I'm all for it. But when you're ticking on to the final kicks of the game, the young bloke has taken a ripping mark, and Petracca wasn't actually in a much better position (he actually got called play on from his kick!), I would really have liked someone to give him a pat on the head and say, "well done mate, now kick the goal".

Watched the replay last night and you could hear the entire crowd groan as one when LJ passed it off.  Everyone wanted him to kick a big goal after taking that grab.  Imagine the confidence he would have gotten.

    3.       Fritsch – Bailey needs to stop looking like a good kick and actually be a good kick. It was a typical Fritsch game really. He looked pretty good and contributed but wasted chances in front of goal.

He could have had a bunch of 5-6 goal games already in his career. Hes always looks an inch away from tearing a game apart but never does.  He will soon though.
