GAMEDAY: Rd 20 vs GWS
We moved from Hawthorn (near Auburn station) a few years ago to live in the country. It was time. We loved Melbourne for many years, and while we visit for all the great things, thatâs the one regular thing I miss - having a few cold ones and jumping on the train and going to an almost empty MCG to watch a game. (Half joking with the last bit.)

Food at the Footy
Nice one. I went to a game just pre Covid in New York - food and drink was amazing. And padded seats!

Food at the Footy
Agree itâs fairly ordinary and very pricey. Buying much less at games these days. i strangely half enjoy the hot dogs, adding some mustard. And I try not to think whatâs in them. Obliterated beyond anything recognizable thankfully. Four n twenty pies (aka [censored] and [censored]) have been [censored] for many years, and were never good.

GAMEDAY: Rd 15 vs North Melbourne
I agree, Binman. I reckon the Roos will either come out flat, or we will. Or theyâll come out with intensity, or we will. OrâŠweâll both come out with intensityâŠor both be flatâŠor flat out terribleâŠorâŠI donât know, maybe there will be patches of flat out intensity and just plain flatness⊠Iâm not sure whichâŠ

How typically Melbourne Brodie Grundy
It happens. Sometimes good players do better at other clubs. Langdon, for example.

Very begrudgingly, you have to admire the Piesâ determination and belief. Incredible. To do it time and time again. (Umpiring aside)

Dees Down But Not Out
Yep, this season is well and truly carpeted. Totally fairy-flossed. Absolutely water-tanked.

Dees Down But Not Out
Great alias, Fritta and Turner. Clever. Made me laugh.

POSTGAME: Rd 13 vs Collingwood
Yep - the difference between the Pies body language coming up the race vs ours was stark. Forget stats, loading etc. - the team is not having fun and playing like a team, and being there for each other. Confidence and team culture can be difficult to build but easily lost. Weâve definitely lost it.

Agree re: the mental side of things. I donât want to harp on about the loading aspect and tactics etc. but the mental side of things is at least 50% of the ball game - true of pretty much all sports. Anyone who has played to a reasonably competitive level knows that. Yes, the running game and fitness, and tactics are all important and make up the other 50%. You canât do it without those, but psychology is so important. They just donât believe this year.- VOTES: Rd 12 vs Fremantle
