  1. Cant decide who you are going to trade unless you know what is offered. Im keeping Lever unless I'm offered huge overs - may and tmac are out the door soon, you need some experience and on field coaching. Salem - id be moving him on for whatever we can get, just don't need him with Bowey and McVee. Hard to see a taker Rivers - want to keep but happy to hear an offer. Langdon - if can get a 2nd rounder I'm moving on Sparrow - presumably on a low salary and an honest trier, worth keeping if so Petracca/Viney/Oliver - atleast 1 needs to move on. It won't be Viney as noone will take him. Petracca - can we get an early 1st + 2nd? If so I'm dealing and that'd be my preference. If we can't, id be phoning Geelong and getting a pick for Oliver even for half his salary. Saves $850k a year from a horrible contract. (Fwiw I think the club have accepted they are shifting one of Trac/Oliver to cover Koz) Petty - worth nothing currently and noone will take him. JvR - stock is very low currently and until this year, showed great signs. Keep. Chandler - keep, great little role player and clubman, wont ever be offered anything matching his worth. Spargo - obviously you're taking a 2nd rounder, but is it worth taking a 3rd? Probably not. The rest of our VFL/Old Brigade are worth 0 apart from Gawn. I think we are unfortunately somewhat stuck with what we've got. We really need to have a great end to the season to increase the trade value of some of our assets (particularly trac/oliver) P.S. "look how brave Collingwood were" is a furphy. We cant compare ourselves to them. Gifted two top 5 draftees in Daicos/Daicos. Every free agent wants to go there and happy to take unders - exactly opposite of what we are confronted with at the trade table.
  2. Yes I think this is right. He's escaped criticism because Turner has been great. But the gap between Petty and Turner as fwds is more significant than the gap between TMac and Turner as defenders. Looks like we won most the key stats. Just hoping for another xScore win @WheeloRatings
  3. 11:11 remaining on the Fox Footy clock in Q2. Cops a disgusting swinging cheap shot from Port number 44. Before another one 50 seconds later from Butters. Amazed he was allowed to continue. Clearly out cold.
  4. Kozzie sniped out of it changed the game Much like what they've done to Max years gone by Looked to be lying out cold about a minute before the Butters snipe. Obviously no replays or mentions on comms.
  5. Would have been nice to have gone down having a red hot crack but looks like we've chosen to give up instead. Ho hum.
  6. Wines 5 steps tackled dropped the ball play on Viney 0.5 steps arm pinned HTB and 50. At this point it's a total rort.
  7. Now they are trying to wipe McVee out for not even making contact with the head and Richards flinging his head back Cornes: whether he got him in the head of not doesnt matter. Butters leaves the ball and smacks Kozzie in the head Cornes: they shouldn't even pay a free kick here let alone a report.
  8. Switch it off. Umpires up by 4 goals already.
  9. On the couch's panel only had two comments on the umpiring. Unbelievable Nick Daicos didn't get more holding free kicks against Langdon Melbourne's leadership and culture is junk, look at Kozzie Pickett appealing for a free while chasing Mcreery We've seen before they have the technology to show how many metres run, yet they chose not to here. I wonder why? We've had shorter 50m penalties. But no, Kozzie is the one in the wrong.
  10. The 'learnings' from our off season review were to "stick to the plan and never waiver" Wonder if that included 0-5. Legs were definitely heavy. Salem looked like he running in quicksand.
  11. Sorry to drag up the AJ stuff again, and I largely agree with the combination of all posters. He's probably not good enough He's doing a serviceable role As soon as JVR shows some form he comes back in His skills so far have been comically bad BUT did want to add the context of 'imposter syndrome'. As a mature age recruit there's probably a lot of this going on in AJs head, where clangers are exacerbated by a feeling of not belonging. It all must be very surreal for AJ playing alongside Petracca and Pickett, the same for Henderson. Only way he will feel he belongs is by playing.
  12. This game is bloody huge now. Set up King's Birthday, Dees.
  13. Clearly we need a long term May replacement pretty quickly but his season needs to be judged in context. Been said he is battling through PF and groin niggle - would kill acceleration, direction changing and jumping. I doubt he'd have played this much footy if Lever wasn't always crocked.
  14. No way Tholstrup comes out. 11th for pressure from 63% TOG. No coincidence are best 2 pressure games with his return to the side.
  15. Presumably no mention of Danger's (worse) tunnel in the 4th?
