  1. I like the way Mr. beelzebub thinks
  2. I don't think it's hyperbole to say it's probably the worst game we've ever played, considering the occasion. Hopefully we come up with a solution because Geelong will have a very clear game plan next week.
  3. Ah all good. Thanks for clarifying!
  4. Typo aside, are you sure this is still the case? Last year you had to "buy" a free ticket so your card was active in order to get in (because of COVID and stuff) but it seems that is no longer necessary. All tickets are $10 now and seem to be just for reserving your seat. According to the MCC website, "Members will be able to reserve a seat on Levels 1, 2 and 4 of the Members’ Reserve via Ticketek. Any unallocated reserved seating will be made available as unreserved seating on the match day on a first-in, first-served basis, subject to capacity and availability". To me it sounds as though you can just walk in and find a seat if there are any still available without buying anything.
  5. Gee Hunter can get amongst it!
  6. Terrific win! Go dees!
  7. Got some good young kids coming through in the VFL. Shame none of them could get a go this year but the future looks bright.
  8. I did that last week. No idea why this week is such a shambles.
  9. How in the world are there no seats forward of row U on any level 4 bays at 9am? Are they trying to fill back to front??
  10. Great goal from Steele
  11. I still think we can get it done. If we can crawl into the top 4 we potentially get the pre-finals bye, QF win, week off, PF win, week off, GF. One of our best games of the season was against Brisbane after our bye so we could get airlifted into the grand final if we maintain that post-bye energy. Our best is still the competition's best. Massive games coming up in the next two weeks.
  12. Is it just me or do the usual match highlights on the AFL site not exist for the game? I NEEEEEED ITTTT
  13. Not sure how going to every home game makes me a pretend supporter but I'll admit my post does come across as quite entitled. I do however think it's more than reasonable to be both overjoyed at the success we're currently having but also unsatisfied with the quality of our games so far this season. We've all seen the best this team has to offer but we haven't seen that much of it yet in 2022. Hopefully we kick into top gear when it matters most!
  14. I've been to every game at the G this year and despite winning most of them, I don't think there have been many "enjoyable" games to be perfectly honest. We tend to win by having one really good quarter and three very dour quarters. I often leave feeling that we should have won by much more or that we weren't playing at our best. It sounds so entitled to say when we're sitting 10-2 on top of the ladder but it's true. We've only managed three scores over 100 this year and two were against North and West Coast. When you combine that with the poor weather, horrible ticketing practices, having to always wait half an hour for the train, yeah I get it.
  15. Was at the game and the crowd in the last quarter was doing everything they could to lift the boys. It truly sounded like 40k+ with the amount of noise in the stands. We did what we could and they couldn't get it done.
