  1. sounds like you know here. what is her personality like?
  2. I don’t think there’s a disconnect or anything to worry about but It would help if we had a home base rather than having each team in separate locations
  3. Not ideal but he will have time to recover by Rd 1. Hopefully not a bad hammy
  4. Look at the comments after the HUN article on her retirement. The HUN disabled the comments section on AFLW related articles a few years ago (i was surprised to see comments section enabled on Daisy's article) because most of the remarks were absolute rubbish. Mainly trolling but some were from legit posters with an 18th century outlook.
  5. she should have been all australian last year.
  6. Reckon she'll coach the AFLW team at some stage for sure.
  7. Possibly. Libby Birch or Maddy Gay I reckon.
  8. Our second legend is / will be Karen Paxman.
  9. Bowing out as the captain of the reigning premiers. Very fitting. What a champion she is.
  10. She's holding it together well so far. I'll be surprised if there are no tears at all.
  11. Steak puns are rarely funny
  12. Daisy lifting the cup. a fitting end (if she retires) to an outstanding career Kosi's goal to win it versus Carlton Clarry signing
  13. 1. Both men and women win the flag. No club had done that double yet 2. freo to implode 3. My boy, lachie hunter, to be recruit of the year
  14. As with dogga I would much prefer if he stays but nowadays players come and players go. I’m not too emotionally invested. He has everything he needs to succeed at the dees. If he leaves try to get the best deal we can and move on. all that said I reckon more likely he stays but if he hasn’t signed by king’s birthday then his departure far more likely

So the government is bringing suggested locations to us. Is this how it normally works? Would have thought we identify the location and then engage with stakeholders. I don’t like the fact we are reliant on the government to this degree. What incentive do they have to act promptly or to care at all. thanks for the intel OD. Sounds like this thread will run and run

I’m a sports enthusiast. I can pass the time watching most sports other than some obscure Olympic sports like curling. Baseball is another that I can’t get into. seems odd to be grousing on a sport if you don’t like it. When it comes to soccer I think people are threatened by it. It’s the world game and with proper oversight can grow much bigger in Australia. It won’t displace AFL, there is room for both in my opinion.

    Fantastic World Cup final

Aussie rules is a great game and so is soccer im not sure of the historical reasons but soccer the world over attracts thugs and hooligans. It’s unfortunate but won’t change. best atmosphere I’ve ever experienced was the bombanero in Buenos Aires to see a Boca juniors league game. Maradona was there. The stadium was shaking and the chanting was nonstop all game. The most uncomfortable I felt at a game was in the San Siro to watch United in the champions league. I was sitting too close to the Milan ultras. I was glad when the game was over and I got away unscathed.

This is not a good idea chook. Apart from the fact nobody likes having their time wasted, what if the AFL turn around and say they’d be delighted to facilitate our relocation. Solves a big problem for them.
  20. Favourable draw. Can’t complain at all hopefully all injuries and niggles healed. If so top 2 should be the aim and expectation
  21. Money money money Always sunny In a rich mans world
