  1. It appears managing injuries is not an exact science. Plenty of judgment involved. I'm no expert but I can't remember a time when I didn't benefit from taking a rest. I don't think we should be relying on a 31 year ruck, who gets belted from pillar to post every game, to play through injury. We have a list for a reason. We should start using it better
  2. Paxy will be hard to replace when the time comes. She's having another great season. Top 5 B&F i reckon
  3. Difference being the naughton rumour was started in jest whereas Kane Cornes was being malicious. Not right for him to start a groundless rumour like than given his media profile and port affiliation. Trying to unsettle a player like this is BS. Fair play to the port GM for shooting it down.
  4. Adelaide conducted a review of the infamous preseason camp. The conclusion was nothing to see here. No wonder these families have reservations
  5. This thread is quiet Any word yet about the Dees chasing Naughton?
  6. That's a big question I'd like to know if God exists
  7. Obviously intends to mishave otherwise why would he be worried about behavioural clauses? Clubs will have to decide if he's worth the hassle. Perhaps a club with a strong culture can keep him on the straight and narrow. I doubt St Kilda is that kind of club. Buyer beware
  8. Naughton and JVR hitting packs and scattering oppo defenders would be a joy to behold I'd be tempted to offer the 2 first rounders we receive from Freo and our own first rounder next year it that's what it takes Make it happen MFC
  9. Assuming we are lucky with injuries and can tweak the game plan then we're as good a chance as any Swans will be traumatised, Pies approach will be countered, I can't where the Lions improvement will come from (although they do get the best player in the draft) and I have doubts about Freo. The doggies have defensive frailties, Richmond might surprise given the players they are trading in so they could improve I reckon it'll either be us or Geelong.
  10. Geelong the best team in it this year. No question. They had plenty of luck along the way but so did we last year. I didn't think Dads Army could do it, thought their soft fixture would disadvantage them come September but their pressure game yesterday was off the scales. Swans were hopeless but I don't think any team could have lived with them. And Scott is a great coach as well as being very dislikeable
  11. Lions coughed one up today against Richmond Top spot there for the taking
  12. A KPF will make a difference for us. Definitely But I think getting properly fit and rediscovering or pressure and intensity will make a bigger difference
  13. Bulldogs didn't recover after we belted them. The same will happen the Swans I reckon
  14. What a damp squib Swans won't be a factor next year. Not after this shellacking. I'm not convinced by the pies or Lions It's us v the cats in 2023. I'm looking forward to it already
  15. How funny would it be if the cats choked from here. I’m willing it to happen.
  16. A flicker of hope. If they can snag another before half time it’ll give them some belief
  17. Swans played their granny against us
  18. Stengel has been an inspired recruit
  19. For Christ sake swans. Pull your collective finger out. This is embarrassing
  20. We've played the Lions, Crows and North. With ourselves that's the likely top 4. The only other top 8 side we play for the rest of the year is the Doggies and they've had a soft fixture so far. They're a borderline finals team. Plenty of opportunity for us to improve our percentage If we avoid injuries and maintain half decent form we should win all our remaining games. Hopefully the Lions drop a game or 2 along the way (they still have North, Crows and Collingwood to play) The one player we can't replace is Harris. If we are to win it this year she will be to the fore. West has been a revelation and Purcell excellent. They have added much need grunt to our engine room. We're in good shape
  21. Comprehensive win against an ordinary Carlton outfit. Healthy percentage boost. Good intensity. Harris and Purcell excellent. West very good. Paxy involved. Goldie rusty but will be better for the run Need more polish going instead 50 Go Dees
  22. Needs to work on her goal kicking as well
