Ellie Blackburn has won a flag with the doggies. she has her pennant so should stay there and help them rebuild. If the powers that be at the Whitten Oval have no interest in their ALFW team then that's a different story (find that hard to believe given they pioneered the game with us for many years) but otherwise I'm not in favour of club champions chasing success at the end of their careers. There's enough mercenary behaviour in the mens game.

No way we trade Tayla unless out hand is forced by the AFL. If we win the flag this year she will play a big role. I've no doubt about that.

I wouldn't discount the Saints against the Lions this week. Lions have coughed up games against pies and tiges so saints are a chance. That said i reckon it'll come down to our game v the Lions. We beat them in the granny on their home deck last year so we have nothing to fear. huge game.

To concede just 1 point after quarter is a phenomenal effort. North were quite blunt but still, huge effort.

Crows will be tough for sure but remember we had the better of them for 2 quarters as well. Once we match them on the inside, not easy i know, we have their measure. My preference is to win the flag. To put us in the best position to do that we need to beat the Lions and i think we're better than them. Wardlaw was a big loss for them. they are not finishing their good work whereas we have Zanker (having a career best year i reckon) and Tayla. Not to mention Kate Hore. I'm confident we'll win McClelland cup AND the flag. Go Dees.

We have the game to win the lot. No need to fear the Crows. Lions showed how to beat them. Match them on the inside and burn them on the onside. Lions in Rd 10 will be a tough one. If we have Tayla back we're favourites. Zanker and Tayla a formidable double act. Lions do not have the same firepower. I hope Tayla's injury heals and she's fully fit for the business end of the season. she is crucial for us.
