i know there's a lot of comparisons to us in 2018 but the Hawks are much more skilled than us. the old Hawks hatred than has laid dormant for a while is back with a vengeance. Her specialist area was facilities. On that she didn’t deliver and that’s the bottom line. I think she was a good ambassador for the club. Very visible presence with the AFLW team. Got along to all the games, both men and womens. She had no idea about footy though. That’s fine if you have a specialist focus on the board but the president has to have a grasp of the fundamentals to preside. Her interview clearly demonstrated her lack of knowledge and unsuitability for the role. It’s why I think Steven smith will be perfect. He’s has very relevant presidential experience with the MCC but is also a 200 game former Dees champion. How many people are there out there with that dual skill set? I will say in terms of leadership, the way she has stepped down and selected an excellent candidate to succeed her, is leadership 101 and to her great credit.
