Sorry, guys ... but there have been no challengers for the traditional february match ... because we have been undefeated since 2007, I guess we can't blame the other forums from being a bit shy... probably wasn't a great idea to whup bomberblitz last time 25 goals to 3, but jesus it felt good... Happy to hear t from you guys, but I am happy to sit on all the wins and the trophies and wait until some other footy forum dares to challenge the mioghty demonland...b please forgive spelling and grammar errors above but b thye delete button on my laptop has stopped functioning... regards to all and best wishes to you demon tragics for 2014... rollo

hey, wise (aka the red fox)... horses for courses, mate... you were running round like a twenty-year old last sunday... Same age as my son, rollo2, who played one season too many with uni blacks, and is now battling a serious back injury... we have never turned away anyone wanting to play, despite the fact that we've seen some older guys injure themselves in these games... there are exceptions (like you), but the main problem I see is that a list with an average age over 30 is not heading in the right direction... you played in our very first game, and you may remember hards, cactus, doggo and freak, all your age and all retired now... (one of them is threatening me with an Intervention Order if I send him anymore notices about future games)... I say again we have not had new players in any quantities for the last 3 years... Without the extra numbers brought by you, brett and steve the ruckman last week, we would have been severely embarrassed... With this thread, I was hoping that there would be posts like a text I had from Whispering Jack last week. "I have a couple of young blokes interested in playing. I will ask them, rollo, and get back to you." Another great captain's game last week, BTW...

hey, people... we have a problem... we have been dominating forum footy since 2007... our core group of players (who have kept us on top for so long) are now in their early 30's... my own son (rollo2) has played one season too many and is now battling a severe back injury... we have not attracted any new players in sufficient quantity or quality to replace this core group, who are all about to retire... I am throwing this open to the entire forum... ideas please... regards to all, rollo

Our opponents, over at bomberblitz, are pulling out all stops... to keep their sister thread at the top of the board... in an attempt to recruit new talent... but we would never stoop to such tactics on demonland...

Funny, scotty... we were having the same conversation among a few of us after the match... we did it a few years ago, I think, for the bushfire victims... a great idea IMO...

Seriously, one of our midfielders, leeroy, is a real talent... I am told he missed out on the AFL draft some years ago because of injury... but he has moved on with his life and I doubt he would be interested in trading what he has now for another chance at the AFL... the answer to your other questions is yes and, if you think you can do better, volunteer to play next time...

No, yoss... the bomberblitz organiser is a very talented and determined young bloke called scotty21... best forum footy organiser we have ever seen... he will not rest until this scoreline is reversed... with our aging list, he won't have to wait long IMO...
