I agree it’s time, but also take Alan Richardson, Choco Williams, Nathan jones had no coaching credentials needs to do an apprenticeship under a good coach. We need a new forward coach. Also recruiting has been average due to the lack of players wanting to come to this disjointed homeless club with poor leadership. We are broken.
  2. When we are on the fast break they look nervous and confused, they can it even hit targets with no pressure. Worst forward line in the AFL. Never fixed issues on forward as Goodwin was in denial for the last 3 years

I think it more than Goodwin, the club has been lost for so many years. When you drive past Goschs paddock and see Melbourne players training alongside an old lady walking her dog and some amateur football player kicking goals on the same public oval. It’s hard to believe we haven’t fixed the problem of a proper home for this club. There is zero innovation on how the club is run, we have poor boring communication across all platforms, game days are boring and don’t lean into our identity. If we are not winning no one shows up because unfortunately we need more as demons supporters. There is no innovation in the way we play we just follow what others are doing and hope it works for us. We need change and the players tried to drive it last year but all they got was a mess. We are not a destination club because we haven’t fixed anything and when players go looking around at other clubs we look downtrodden and stale! I still hope one day soon we can implement real change that sets us up for sustain led success.
  4. At the ground today with my son and you could just tell the vibe is gone from this team. No edge or willingness to crack in they played polite bruise free football and Goody said it in his interview on 360, there is a lot of love, but no desire to win! No pressure and no purpose I think the players know they are bottom 6 contenders. Skill errors were a joke, midfield slow and casual, the forward line is the worst in the AFL and it’s been a slow train wreck since the premiership. Goody didn’t want to fix it then and even denied it in our press conference today but also said he moved Trac there to give us better looks at it! We are Watching his slow demise.
  5. Why the f is Langdon in the middle he is soft can’t tackle or kick. What happens to rivers in the midfield?
  6. Breaking down all over the ground, clearances out of the middle are few and far between and when we do it is a long bomb into the air, no one down forward can take a contested mark. Ball use off half back is sloppy and just average at best. We look slow and unskillful. Forward line issues have haunted us since the grand final. Long season.
  7. Some good signs but also some familiar bad ones. Midfield looked good at times with our A graders Trac, Oliver Viney and our contested ball was back to its best. Sparrow was great in his new role and when Oliver starts kicking goals it puts a smile on your face. With JVR going down it did seem we were back to our forward deficiencies again from the past few years. Even with JVR in there and Disco having a good pre-season our forward line looks dysfunctional and unorganised. Billings should only be able to kick it into the 50 and not run inside as I am sure he looks at the goals and only sees points. Fingers crossed there is a plan for all this and we head into round 1 with a white hot team ready to rise up the ladder. Go Dees.

  9. Should Melbourne be having a chat to Alister Clarkson with him open to the idea of Hawthorn making a big decision on his future. Could there be an option for us to get him at the end of the year.

    Demons mediocrity accepted
  11. Get ready to drop below Carlton on the ladder next week. Goodwin mentioned in the press conference that Lewis stays in because he is trying to create a winning culture.....um that ship has sailed and my suggestion is keep Dunkley in for experience, Wagner comes in ANB and Hannan out. The rest doesn’t matter as we drift off into AFL insignificance.
