  1. This is a rubbish comment and just another generalisation mate.
  2. You sure do love cancel culture for someone who bangs on about free speech and being open to different opinions. Anyways, on the actual point - Gawn attended 258 less ruck contests this year than he did in 2021. His hitout stat was the lowest it's been since 2014 and his shots at goal was slightly up as was his marks inside 50. Luke Jackson's ruck contest average went up by 6.4 per game. His shots at goal average came down slightly also as did his marks inside 50. I would say that paints a pretty clear picture that Gawn played more forward this year than last which obviously gives him more opportunity for contested marks.
  3. "I'm a free speech advocate, but it appears some of you only want to read opinions you like." - Hannibal Inc.
  4. Those institutions are made up of people.
  5. He'll get to Freo. Just lots of back and forth about the finer details going on behind the scenes IMO. There can be interconnected deals all going on at once - perhaps something to do with us trading part of what we get for Jackson - so it can be a bit messy and lots of back and forth with multiple clubs. Even more so with a club like us who seem to have a more holistic plan for trade period. Just gotta hold tight I think.
  6. I thought he played some of his best footy as a lockdown defender, but at the same time it's a role where he probably doesn't get to capitalise on his greatest asset - his speed. So mixed feelings about it I guess. He seems one of the best blokes around, he's battled bad luck with injuries and always seemed positive, and I don't remember a single game where he didn't give AFL level effort. I'll always consider him part of our premiership team. Not sure how much team success he'll have at WC, but could see him adding to the highlight reel while there.
  7. I would say the difference though is he had more opportunity for contested marks this year given he spent far more time forward. Especially in the second half of the year, Jackson was often the primary ruck.
  8. Absolutely, which is why I've stated that I know my experience isn't everyone's experience. I've not doubted or put down anyone else's experience, and my own is mixed. But the value of people who have sacrificed their entire lives to do good is not worth any less than the lives of those who we've lost due to the horrendous experiences they've had. My parents spent 50 years of their lives helping others in the name of their religion and put themselves last that whole time - why should they be put down and insulted due to someone's experience of other people? Sorry, that's just not right.
  9. Sorry WCW, but I won't let people slander the good people I know, including people in my family, with generalisations based on their own personal experience. I don't think that's any different to 'their side'. The difference in the two 'sides' here is I've openly said I appreciate my experiences (which weren't all good btw) aren't the same as everyone elses, yet the 'other side' is saying their experiences equal complete truth. That's just not right. We wouldn't stand by and let people say racist things because they had experiences which led them to feel that way would we? I'm no fan of religion, but I've known enough people involved in religious organisations who have spent their lives doing tremendous good for others to know it's simply not correct to label them all as terrible.
  10. No stress mate, I got my own head in a spin trying to put it together!
  11. Read it again mate.
  12. 2019 - 12 disposals per game 2021/2022 - 11.85 disposals per game No facts hidden.
  13. Having lots of picks doesn't mean you accept unders in a deal though. Bruhn was pick 12, pick 18 isn't equitable.
  14. Given Jackson's age the general media feedback has been they'd be allowed to trade it.
  15. Initial thought is it doesn't seem a great deal for WC? Wonder how close pick 8 and future 1st would get them to Jacko? Or even if they'd be allowed to do that?
  16. Movement?
  17. So Grundy was dropped from the leadership group because McRae doesn't rate him, but Sidebottom was dropped because McRae rates him... Makes sense. McRae doesn't pick the leadership group by the way, it's done by vote.
  18. Weird that Sidebottom was cut out as well yet finished top 5 in the BnF then... Even weirder that it's done by vote, not decided by the coach.
  19. Was in their leadership group in 2020 and 2021. They cut back the number in 2022. #MattRendellThings
  20. Could Cadman slip through to 7 you reckon?
  21. Can't see how they get Bruhn then. Pick 18 won't cut it, and you wouldn't accept their future first given it could be the same pick.
  22. How about... Jackson and pick 44 to Freo for pick 13, Future 1st, and (North's) Future 2nd Picks 13 and 27 to Geelong for pick 7 - Geelong use 13 for Bruhn Grundy to Dees for Freo's (North's) future 2nd Dees trade 7 and our future 2nd to GWS for 15 and 19 Dees end up with Grundy, 15, 19 and future 1st for Jackson, 27, 44 and a future 2nd
