  1. Very different to their near neighbours who since Ken Bates sold his £90 million debt to Abramovich for £1 have attracted mostly glory hunting chavs.
  2. If we're looking for a crowd comparison in the sporting world we might be more like Arsenal. Their previous home was known as the Highbury Library. As supporters I'd say we're more like Fulham.
  3. In a 2018 Preliminary Final Richmond played a hampered Dusty in a tacit admission that their chances of success hinged on his presence (they still lost heavily). With a similar injury (corky) to Trac do you think we might be tempted to do likewise and if so would we be sending out the same signals? Can the presence of an 80% fit superstar lift all his team mates enough to make up that difference? If so can you think of any famous examples where this has worked or backfired?
  4. Agree DD. I really don't want to be in the vicinity of the toothless army again anytime soon. It warms the heart to know that most of them will now miss out on getting tickets for their prelim.
  5. Thank christ for that. I'd fancy Sydney to take care of Collingwood again up there should they get that far. It's just a question of whether we can bring our best for three consecutive games. Right now I have my doubts.
  6. Sounds like there'll be a few 'landers there tonight based on what I've read on this thread. I hope they still have that dark ale on tap I've had on my last two visits.
  7. LOL. Gold Coast lost 60% of their "members" in one season.
  8. Couldn't have scripted a better way for Richmond to get dumped out of the finals. Sydney v Brisbane next week at the SCG should be another cracker.
  9. It would be really nice to send Richmond and their fleabag army out of the September picture tonight.
  10. I've always thought that there's something 'not quite right' about Mitch Robinson but can't put my finger on what it is.
  11. I wonder why he changed the number on his insta handle from 6 to 12. 🤔
  12. Likewise. Far nicer than any of the sticky floor establishments lining Punt Road and relatively nuffy free.
  13. Book a table at the Tippler online if they still have any available. It’s on Wellington Parade and a 2 minute walk from gate 3 at the G.
  14. I think I’ll probably do the same as last year and put up my flag after a win in the prelim then keep it out until New Years Day if we win the GF.
  15. That's interesting RABF. The surface there is actually really good. My guess is that they will be training at Skinner Reserve in Braybrook then which is being set up as a secondary training facility for the club. For anyone that's interested here's a link to the work that will be done to Whitten Oval. https://www.westernbulldogs.com.au/redevelopment/whitten-oval-redevelopment-faqs
  16. It's beginning to look like the devolved SNP government in Scotland where the next independence referendum is always just over the next hill then around the next bend. We'll all be deid before we see it.
  17. That game was brutal. Adelaide are a tough side but we had their measure for much of the night. Eliza West has the build of Brian Wilson and plays a lot like him too. Liv Purcell and her were terrific in the middle.
  18. Maybe the club decided on the 10 ticket option after reading the DL thread with the myriad of reasons why it's not practical or convenient for members to go to Friday night games.
  19. Yup BA. We chose category 1 pricing however so don't know if that makes a difference. We're in the bay next to our regular home game seats in the Olympic Stand.
