Could Goldcoast genuinely be an option? Ton of cash to blow and no doubt would get a helping hand from the AFL in some way, draft picks to burn, and out of the spotlight for Hogan.

Get quality in, worry about team balance later I reckon. Especially with Kennedy's age and body letting him down multiple times a season.

No one really knows....I've seen nothing on Twitter other than people being very confused with what Basil said. Something does seem fishy, you'd think if he failed the medical it'd be impossible to keep it out of the media and Basil would have said something, wouldn't you? Claiming that Freo have "missed out" on Hogan makes it look like he's decided to stay at the Dee's himself...FWIW I reckon he's still Freo bound..

Let me rephrase, I agree almost entirely with what you’ve said, the bigger picture and achieving our list goals are far more important than what the deal is on paper - for the most part. But if the club rolls over and accepts pick 5 alone, which I’m almost certain won’t happen, it will be a failure of a trade for a player who is easily worth two top 10 picks in the mind of any reasonable person (shout out to Sam McClure).
