Something which annoys me (the Demonland podcast is also an offender with this but I forgive you guys because I love the show) is when pundits say something like “the players in the Melbourne midfield, the Olivers, the Petracca, the Vineys”. Ugh, there’s just one Oliver, one Petracca and one Viney.

All of the naysayers in this thread and the match thread should look at the collingwood swans match. To say we aren’t as good as them is delusional.

It was nothing and he didn’t have concussion so I would be shocked if he gets any suspension. The blame should be placed on suns’ medical staff for sending a player back on the field who had already been banged up earlier and shouldn’t have been playing.

This was a brilliant win against a seriously plucky side playing out of their skin, in tough conditions. Really rate it. We would have lost this match last year.

My brother is a big Carlton fan. He went to the match today with his 7 year old son. They had the following exchange: Son: “I think this is the worst game of football I have ever seen” Father: “It’s definitely the most frustrating” Son: “Every game I’ve ever watched is frustrating” Father “It’s the curse of being a Carlton supporter, mate” I am so glad kids growing up these days watching the Dees don’t need to go through that anymore.
