POSTGAME: Rd 13 vs Collingwood
Especially since, just before this, Trac got pinged for pushing in the back, which resulted in a Woods goal, when he appeared to turn his opponent who didn't attempt to dispose of the ball, but exaggerated his forward movement and Tracc got a check on the way down. Poor consistency, but what to expect!

POSTGAME: Rd 13 vs Collingwood
Just finished watching the replay. Savoured the live game memories. Great 3rd quater, the last 15 minutes and 4th quarter. Playing hard footy, causing turnovers, holding the lead, using tempo footy, our running when offence and defence, working well in small and closed areas. Thought ANB in that period (late 3rd and 4th) was almost best on the ground, hassle, run and disposals. Don't know what some are talking about. Smith's game, when it counted, gave us exit and scoring opportunities. Tomlinson and JJ also at "it". How's Sparrow's endurance, wow? How did we miss those set shots in the last, Smith, Pickett and Fritta. Got to fix that up, ice the game, and take the easy ones. Thought we had the Woods playing the man and not the ball. Vines in the last 30 seconds, has amazing will. Umpires nearly got them home. Trac needs Clayton back, I think the work load was getting to him. Loved our desperation and game plan. Interesting that a few of us left the replay watching till now.

POSTGAME: Rd 13 vs Collingwood
Great coaching. Stopped their inside change of angle, balls. Amazed by some of our reading of that play. Our pressure was there for the 4 quarters. They were so confused about how to play against our structures. Playing the game in the forward area, with the defenders intercepting or halving their rebound, forced that. They had to use the boundaries most of the time when they had it. Hard and desperate footy. Late in the 1st quarter we started taking control and answered their goals, so they didn't get too far away from us. Was worried when we hit the front, that the Woods would start going harder. They didn't or couldn't find that gear. Good hard game, had them hearing steps, and double guessing themselves. Forcing the other to play ugly, which they aren't used to. We will win ugly, with smiles on our faces.

Game plans, tactics and all that jazz
Goody has also introduced a bit of vernacular into the lexicon of the AFL, like, brand, connection, corridor, process. The modern coach, which Goody has had a hand in developing and exemplifies, keeps a cool exterior, is focused on the positive, treats his players as adults, and empathises family inclusion as much as possible.

Sometimes I need to close and open the app, to make sure it is recognising the chromecast signal. Goodluck.

CASEY: Rd 12 vs Collingwood VFL
I can only get the AFL live to cast VFL, when I use the app and not the website. The other way is to screen mirror. Try and download the "AFL live" app. The little tv type icon in the top right corner, starts the cast menu, when you watch live the game selected.

TRAINING: Sunday 11th June 2023
They are set up, just waiting for the players. The wingers are first out. Gus, Langdon, Hunter, Woewodin, JJ. Next, travelling by himself Grundy. The group follows, Lever, Max, Tomlinson, May, Spargo, Pickett, JVR, Fritta, J.Smith, ANB, Chandler, Viney, Rivers, McVee, Pettracca, Sparrow, Hibberd and Salem. Broken into their lines. Gus is with the mids, as is Woey and JJ. Max is with the fwds. Grundy's brother has jumped the fence and giving him some "pointers" as he lines up for goal kicking. Two other family members are also down here for support.

Pretty sure the 7+ app doesn't stream the AFL games. (I think they are changing next year and may stream.) @ElDiablo14

Good to see Dunstan in. Gets plenty of ball, and his leadership is important at this level.

Game plans, tactics and all that jazz
Imitation by others means his tactics have been innovative. Like structuring a backline to create intercepts. Pushing high up the field to make multiple forward entries. Prolific scoring from the centre bounce (though has dried up a bit). Holding the ball in the forward 50. We've tried holding the ball in the defensive 50 and slinging, though it didn't work well. Making a midfield swarm. The chaos ball, has fugazi been implemented this season. Perhaps that was the point of having Collingwood themes blasting at training. Role playing by many of the team. Transitional game, holding the wings wide and running the rails. Goody is a strategist and I believe this week he will have a structure from stoppages that will be looking inside for runners and so creating quick entries. He is also building our extra time game. Has been making others play to our way, and not really much the other way round.

Game plans, tactics and all that jazz
Early in the season, it appeared that some of our entries into the 50 were aimed at getting the ball over the back. We haven't deployed that strategy lately. Perhaps pushing the forward line higher is difficult to coordinate, and a defender could still hang back as the goalkeeper/quarterback/intercepter anyway. I would like to see it again, as it shows a dynamic group. Different plays will keep the defence guessing, we need to be leading in all 360ยฐ angles, and the forward congestion and competing against each other (how we play lately) creates less scoring opportunities, though it makes it easier to hold the ball in the forward area. Unfortunately, if we don't take our scoring opportunities, it leaves the others with a sniff, especially if countered by some of the better skilled clubs.

Kings Birthday Sold Out
Part of this thread was about our lack of vocal support for the benefit of the players. My comment was an attempt to explain that. Well done The Army, I hear you at well timed periods. Being outnumbered has never quietened me, but aggression has. I also like sitting higher so I can observe the nuisances of the game.

Kings Birthday Sold Out
I am not suffering, the small amount I have is enough, the system cannot victimise me. I am a frugal person, living within my means and consumption doesn't interest me. The Dee's give me something like a hobby, gets me out and about, and emotional drama. Just hope the price for attending doesn't get much more expensive, that the cheap seats aren't pushed too far away from the action, or the aggression from the division between opposition supporters becomes less "boo" and hate, and more "good play, well done" by one team to the other. Otherwise, a fence will have to be built between the greater AFL community. One last thing, perhaps it is harder for Dee supporters (noise volume) as we in the outer are often out numbered.

TRAINING: Tuesday 6th June, 2023.
Yes, though I havenโt seen any main session this season, but last time I saw a main session the focus was more on sims and execution of structures and processes. Could be because of the long break and they can push them, without game day fatigue. They were working them very hard. A few looked like they needed it, given some gasping, slouching and drop outs. Also appeared not like it too much, they went quiet and resigned to getting through it. Thought it was useful bonding being all in it together, and the congratulations and support they showed to each other after completion. The trainer (Selwyn) didn't inform them of how many sprints they were doing, showing lots of trust of him by them. Ended up going at about 3 sets, each 6ร150 meters under 20 sec, with a 10 sec break between runs. The players had groupings that ran to various distanced coloured cones. There was also another set of sprints in between drills and some laps as a warm before drills.
