Just got back from the game. Was so happy and excited. Went with my new boyfriend. At the first quarter, I was so excited, thinking if we keep playing like this, the cup is ours. Boy what a letdown. Couldn’t mark anything. Even when Port flumbled the ball, they always had players backing them up. Most times they saw the opposition go for the ball and made a half-hearted attempt to go after it or contest. Gawn was really off-game, I think he should take longer to recover. Sad, Jones was actually having a good game, until he made those mistakes and ruined it. I’ll write this off as an early game where we’re still getting our feet. Bf is just doing the barbie so I’m going to have a nice dinner and try and forget about this.

Had a wonderful time with the kids who was on their best behaviour. Lines to Viney, Bradshaw, Gawn etc were long especially when you had to be next to the speakers. Gawn asked my niece who was his favourite player and she said “you!” He just laughed and said “you’re just saying that!” Jones held up my little nephew in the photo. Got some great shots, but being they’re not my children, I can’t post them online. Bumped into a few people I see at games. Great to catch up. Noticed Melkshan was in arts and crafts. Made these neat badges for my younger niece/nephew. Being her birthday soon, she asked “Aunty Cass, can we go to the demon shop?” Ended up forking out over $50, but at least I’m set for birthdays now. All in all, a great day. Not too hot like last year and good to see even more people.

For the first time in years, I’m really looking forward to the season with vigourious enthusiasm. I can’t wait to see how well our boys will do this year

For anyone on here who went to or can at least remember our last premiership, can you share some of your memories of it? What the week before it were like, how did you feel during the game, how confident were you and most especially how was it afterwards. It’d be so nice to have a DVD of this, unfortuantly we’re the only premiership winning team that doesn’t have a viewable premiership. All we have are these: The rothmans highlights, 11 minutes long, prerecorded commentary, players look like small sticks. Less than three minutes of the last quarter, missing several plays in extremely poor footage.

Ah what a night. Woke up by my masseuse this morning. Fell asleep during it. Now just getting this sorted to meet up with my younger brother and his family today. How awesome was the crowd? I think it must have been 80% Melbourne EASY. We even had a neutral sitting near us, that was going for us. Said we’d really captured his imagination. Gave away lots of hugs to strangers tonight. Not really strangers, we’re all part of the big demon family. Wonderful game wonderful win. Only thing is have to get that bikini now, groans. To all the people who said they were done with this club after last season, hows your new club going for you ha ha

Nah, was with my dad and brothers

Just got back home. Wowee! What a win! Loved it. My dad and brothers and me all watching the team we love triumph. So, glad to finally get revenge on Geelong. They may have beaten us but we won the one that matters. Saw Billy Brownless not too far from us. Funny he was sitting in the casual seating. Pain getting into the turnstiles. So slow and was stuck near some drunk feral woman. Finally back and so tired. Going to sleep in my demons top tonight.

Lol nope. Glad to see guys have standards! Mine were old school. Was hard throwing them out, but since I haven’t worn pjs in ages, they had to go. Hopefully some brainwashed kid is wearing them now ?

Don’t be modest. I loved mine as a child. Wish I still had them, but gave away to St Vinnies a few years ago. I spent many a pocket money in the stands buying Demons gear. The things we bought would make you laugh.

Mine were from the 80’s they were awesome, even though I don’t wear pjs anymore. I bet they look real cute.

Did anyone else have Demons pjs?

I’d love to see some women’s singlets and sleeveless tops to wear when going out. Imagine the guys I’d come snare with one of those!

Although I dont wear PJ’s anymore, I’d love to see a return of the old demon pyjamas. They were awesome. maybe also some more kid themed stuff.

Finally back to the subject... Awesome shots. I bet they’ll be big stars in a few years. What a great day.

It’s still uncomfortable as I get tired of thinking any man and woman together must be a couple. Though I was flattered that she thought I was their mother. Gawn was awesome. Asked my nephew who his favourite player was. Even though it’s Jones, he said Gawn. Really friendly and seemed to be having a good time. Even lifted up twins for this woman I saw. As for complaining about it not being held at Luna Park, how about going to Luna Park after? It’s not like it’s late or anything. It was packed there as it was.

Yup definently sunburnt. Caked myself in sunscreen but still burnt. I’m sure my mate will notice I’m a true ‘redleg’ when we go swimming tomorrow morning. All in all a great day, apart from the old woman who commented that me and my brother were a ‘cute couple’. Urgh.
