All that hard work we did to get here, all those hard fought wins, all that effort, just for us to play the worst game of the season. It’s like all that hard work for nothing. I’m gutted. I’ll watch the rest of the game, then I have a father and brother here. Absolutely miserable mood here. Like a funeral

The problem in Collingbog have a lot of supporters in the media. I’ve heard almost nothing about our prelim on the radio this week. You would have thought there was only one final played this weekend.

Problem is with Collingwood, even if we win, the media will be all over them. It will be the grand final Collingwood lost. Look at 2002. Hardly any photos of Brisbane’s victory. Just pages and pages of Malthouse and Buckley in tears.

My father and older brother are coming over to watch the game at my house. Youngest one is there. My brother and I have a bet, if we lose, I have to watch a horror movie of his choice with him (I’m terrified of horror movies.) If we win, he takes me to Richard Marx. So, I really REALLY want to win.

Problem is some demon fans use self-depricating humour, just accept it when other people hang it on our club instead of defending themselves. This needs to stop. We have to stop accepting abuse and bad things being said by others and ourselves and start to show pride in our club. Be more defensive

All my nieces/nephews have a ‘football-day’ for the last day of the term (this Friday.) they get to wear their football colours instead of school uniforms. With Demons still in the finals, they can wear them with pride and not have anyone ribbing them. A complete opposite from a few years ago. Kinda tempted to have the day off work to see them.

If my dad never sees us win a cup, I’d be devastated. I’d give up my ticket for him if we couldn’t go together. Mum died in 1983, so we were going terrible at that time.

This. Even as a woman, I’m appalled by the lack of focus on players and more what their current, Gf, wife, whatever is wearing. I didn’t see this focus on male partners when the WAFL equivalent was bought out. Seriously, who cares what their current whatever is wearing or how much skin she’s showing? When did it become about fashion? It makes me wish more players would do a Jim Stynes and bring their parents, so we can stop focusing on clothes

Poor Footscray. Won a cup 2 years ago and us, nothing since 1964, have more members. That’s scary.

For anyone on here who went to or can at least remember our last premiership, can you share some of your memories of it? What the week before it were like, how did you feel during the game, how confident were you and most especially how was it afterwards. It’d be so nice to have a DVD of this, unfortuantly we’re the only premiership winning team that doesn’t have a viewable premiership. All we have are these: The rothmans highlights, 11 minutes long, prerecorded commentary, players look like small sticks. Less than three minutes of the last quarter, missing several plays in extremely poor footage.
