  1. I knew Gav during my time in Afghan. RIP mate.

Lance Corporal Gavin was born in Manly, NSW, in 1982. He enlisted in the Army in 2004. On completion of his basic training and initial employment training he was posted as an infantryman to the 2nd Battalion, the Royal Australian Regiment, in Townsville in 2005. He was promoted to Lance Corporal in January 2009. He was a highly-qualified soldier, having completed specialist training as a combat first aider, Pashtu linguist and infantry support weapons operator.

Lance Corporal Gavin was a highly-respected member of the 2nd Battalion. He was acknowledged by his superiors for his positive attitude and loyalty. His subordinate soldiers were motivated by his professionalism, mateship and outstanding specialist skills. He was also known for being a devoted husband and father.

  2. If the feedback was actually intended to be positive, thats fine - but did it need its own post? A comment on the pod post or a DM would suffice.

To echo everyone here, the pod is great. Thanks to those who take the time out of their day to create awesome content for us for free.

  3. The thought of Kozzie being suspended and Maynard getting nothing is nauseating.

Surely its low impact and a fine, really wasn't much in it at all.

Given that, no changes. I have no concerns with our form last night off the back of a 5 day break in hostile territory. We should account for Brisbane @ the G no problem.

Billings, in my opinion, is a very important player in our run for a flag this year. He was horrible last night, but he's been good otherwise. He gets another chance for mine.

  4. Not the result I hoped for (can’t see Brisbane winning this), but I’m encouraged by how average both of these teams still look. Neither of these teams are finishing top 4.

    We will though.

  5. Not sure how people are arguing that Wright doesn’t deserve weeks.

No realistic attempt at the ball which ended in a nasty concussion is pretty straight forward.

And I’m sick of hearing about players “protecting themselves”. Give me a spell. The bloke going back with the flight didn’t get an opportunity to “protect himself”, so why should the 110kg guy running at full speed from behind get to? How about not committing to contact if you’re worried you’ll need to “protect yourself”. P1zzweak excuse.

  6. I'm not actually too worried given how well our team defence held up with both May and Lever missing for basically a half of footy. Having said that, it is Hawthorn.

We got great replacement options in Tmac and Petty. I wouldn't be surprised if they hold the fort really well at all. The only issue I see is needing Brown to get through the next batch of games while Petty is unavailable up forward. He's been really good and I hope his body holds up through this period.
