We came in arrogant and complacent. i hope we don’t sweep this away as a one off because other teams will beat us the same way if we continue to turn up expecting wins with lazy football. Pretty bummed after that.

I’ll watch the first half of this quarter but will likely turn off if we haven’t changed anything. I’ve seen this game before and where it goes. We came out arrogant and lazy, and have been shown up by a team who won’t do much this year and will be beaten by teams who bother to have a dip. Gross performance so far. We will need to lift to win, but I’m not sure it’s going to happen. I hope so- we can win! But it’ll take the boys pulling their fingers out.

Good news is that they can’t play much better and we have much we can improve on. Not losing to those cheats in Adelaide.

Our inconsistency is frustrating. We turn it up against the swans, and now struggling against the WAFL eagles. It’s momentum killing stuff, even if we eek out a win. Hope we wake up and realise we have to earn a win.

I’ve been worried about this game all week for this reason. They’ve got nothing to lose. Complacency from us and the constant chatter about how many hundreds we will win by. We need to treat the Eagles with respect and earn a good win.

Completely agree with all of this. Especially given Gawn's absence, probably best win for a long while. It still burns that the Lions got that W, they're nowhere near the side we are. We play again in R18, so we'll have the chance to set the record straight!!

HUGE WIN Busted through a bogey team. By 50! I love that we never let up. The swans kept coming back as we knew they would, but we kept them at bay and then stomped them. Oliver awesome, Grundy around the ground was great. Hunter and Langdon yes! Great effort from our range of forwards. JVR!! Now there’s a player. Big entrance, big future. Same as McVee. Great return from Chandler. Just so damn enjoyable to watch. And to think, we still have Maxy and Kozzie to come in!!! Long year, but we’re in a good position. It’s so annoying that we lost to the lions, I appreciate the conditions favoured them and we were disrupted by Max and May, but we are so much better than them, can’t wait to play them again.
