  1. Don Scotts ratings are a tad outdated for obvious reasons. However, his principles hold true. We smashed the bookies, over 3 sports, over a 5-6 year period. We had professional analysis's in each sport & a database/price computer team. So much so we ended up working/partnership with certain companies in their price assessments we even happily took part of the exposure. So you are up against the professionals - You need to work your butts off or over the long run you will just be "another mug punter".
  2. You guys need to get yourself a copy of the best book ever written on horse racing - Winning More by the legendary Legal Eagle - Don Scott ( not Don Scott of footy fame ) He will help with your multiple betting options and even more importantly how to frame a market to maximise returns. I've sold my business in this sector. But if I was ever looking to get back into this sector I would look at Tennis Betting.
  3. The beautiful thing is I doubt it is going to be about returning to Victoria or the money.
  4. Well said plus they have Boak, Polec, Gray & Westoff up - they have bet the farm. Good luck to them - they might need it.
  5. You have to ignore Chazz he has no idea what he is talking about. Both Rockliff & Motlop netted 1st Round compensation picks to their original clubs so you are right they did come at a premium in salary cap space. Watts we moved on to help clean up space in 2019 cap - there are a few very interesting options on the table at the end of this year. Could be a very interesting time ahead in the player movement space for a relatively young and up & coming list - our timing could well be impeccable for once. Much will depend on Ports on-field performance ie How deep, deep they go into September
  6. We had a fair crack at Ollie last time he was out of contract. Think he knows we are interested. Kid can win his own football and thats the key criteria you need in todays game. This time its also a little different, Port have bet the farm on Watts, Motlop & Rockliff, we are an up & coming force. Plus last time when in negotiations I got the feeling - Ollie is not all about the $$$$. Port this time also have Boak, Polec, Westoff plus a few more big names up for debate. Much will come down to their on-field performance. Interesting times ahead - Can Port retain them all with a poor on-field performance.
  7. I have this feeling we hope he is going to be Levers partner in crime for around 8 year.
  8. I love his name - would look good on the team sheet. Thats good enough for me to get my support. But I defer to the better judges on his football talent.
  9. Not sure I went that far - I've always wished the boy well, refused to listen to the internet rumours just like Essendon & Geelong have, thought it was going to be very difficult to land him. However, we are up to our eye balls in this trade because its very important to us.
  10. Cheers. The Stringer trade is very important to us - now you can read into that what you want.
  11. And yes you owe the site a donation - say $100
  12. You are obvioulsy new around here your positive approach is refreshing - please never lose that.
  13. This is a good fair deal for us, meets all our strategic needs as of today.
  14. Think you owe the site a donation - we are well under the 2100 points margin.
  15. Next year will never arrive for many MFC supporters - they dont have the patience. Strategy was always to bring forward a pick into this years equation.
  16. I think this article is on the money or very close to it. As I said earlier Lions were always going to be our partners to getting the deal over the line.
  17. With all due respect you wrote. No mention of other picks - none at all. It was not till after you mentioned the other picks. Just for the record both clubs had a very cordial fishing trip today.
  18. This is absolute rubbish. No way do the Tigers swap "their two late first round picks and our pick 10." They may have just won a premiership but they are not a charity.
  19. Will be very interesting to see if Adelaide will take a 1st and 2nd Round pick from the same draft - for Lever.
  20. Tigers very unlikely to trade both those picks - father and son on the way. Brisbane is more likely after they get the rocky compo.
  21. Stick it up'em boys. Off to the draft he goes if they dont deal - now thats commitment I like to see.
  22. We are pouring the acid on them and they dont like it - moan, groan, whinge and whine. Wednesday or Thursday of week 2 is still my prediction.
  23. Stood head and shoulders above many of our AFL listed players this year at Casey. Think he will be around the 40-50 mark in this years draft.
  24. My tip is it will go thru late in the second week very similar to the Carlisle deal with a big fanfare for the cameras. You can almost write what both clubs representatives will say. Enjoy the circus.
