  1. Yeah great point. Makes so much of a difference when there's the wise heads there to guide them.

  4. Also, the tactics from Goody and co! We're evolving!
  5. Brilliant win. So impressive. Lever has gone to another level this year. Has always been very good clearly, but is just dominant right now. All our young guns too. Can't get over the level of ability of kids like Windsor, but also guys like Woey Junior just looking really solid, and then Howes, McVee, Turner. Can't quite remember a class of youngsters like this where they're been so composed and reliable beyond their years. In times gone by you'd expect a lot less of them because they're so young, but it's quite amazing.
  6. Agreed. I had the same thought with Petty as well. He looks like he just needs a short spell with Casey, just to get some touch back. I dont think it'll take much.
  7. Got the win but gees. We're gonna get smashed by Carlton and Geelong if we don't get out act together. So many mistakes. Relying too much on too few.
  8. Absolutely brilliant win! Best I've seen in a long while!
  9. If you're Kalani then surely you want to follow in your dad's footsteps and play for the same club. I really hope that's how he's thinking about it.
  10. Let's see Harry Petty back in that forward line alongside JVR Fritta and the like, minus the slippery conditions at the SCG, and then we can make a call. Footy pundits have blinkers on and the worst ones and are just 'see and react' because a level head and a bit of context doesn't get clicks.
  11. Let's see the response over the next few weeks. Last night was a shocker but hopefully we can look back at that and see it as an anomaly.
  12. He really is a talent. I think it's gone under the radar a little bit, but I think there'll be more talk about him once the season starts.
  13. Wowee. Much better return yesterday. Can never read too much into a preseason game, but so much to like. Howes did some really good things down back. Great delivery by foot. Love Salem in the midfield. Windsor looks a real talent, very exciting. And it just feels like we finally have enough quality ball users now: Billings, Laurie, Bowey, Salem amongst others. Plenty of personnel to come back too. Good stuff.
  14. Great to see David King writing us off. Positive signs for the season ahead.
  15. Great article and well written. With everything that's happened, you can take your pick in terms of motivation for the season ahead. The 'stick it up them' factor has never been so high.
  16. This is so devastating. Poor Gus. A legend that will be sorely missed. I hope Maynard, McGuire and everyone else that was patting themselves on the back about 'justice' being done following the incident being given the all clear have a moment to reflect on this. A player in his prime has been forced to retire because of what happened and that is not right.

Great post and beautifully written. Go the Dees.
  18. Exactly what I was thinking. He is too much of a liability down back. Don't understand this move at all.
  19. It'll be interesting if WCE end up keeping pick 1, getting Reid, and we use 6 on Curtin. You'd think WCE would want to build a list of WA talent. Maybe we could do a straight swap in a few years? Wouldn't that be nice.
  20. I like this move to go smaller and not do a straight swap for JVR. It's something different and changes up our forward line. Plus maybe it'll force us to stop bombing into fwd 50. I really hope I don't regret this comment. I'll keep this open in a tab so I can delete it later.
  21. One of my favs. Thanks for the memories, Hibbo.
  22. Have watched this goal replay many a time. Still sends shivers down my spine. Will always have a soft spot for Hannan, he seemed like a great guy too. Best of luck to him and hopefully the injury is not career ending.
  23. Nice to get the win, but gees Petts is really breaking my heart this year. How many times has he dropped out of the side this year with an injury every time he's looked like he's got going and looked damaging forward or back.
  24. Totally agree. Does not get the recognition he deserves. Always gets praised for his hardness and for being a battler but that totally sells him short. Would be lauded a lot more for all that he brings if not for Trac and Clayton.
  25. Unbelievable. So bloody exciting. Go Dees!!!!!
