I've got no problems with the chat re Spargo but we need to realise Chandler hasn't been in that good enough form to replace him. Basically, when in the side of late has done nothing to get me excited. Therefore only the one change for me. Tommo for Petty. Petty needs a good rest and then find some form in the Magoos.

I know you all are looking for Freo to fall so we get a good pick for next season but I'm more involved in this season and wish nothing better than us winning tomorrow night. Could not care less what the Dockers do.

I live up here (ex Vic) and they are a disgrace. Hardly a sporting team survives on the GC as seen by both AFL and NRL. The AFL have a lot to answer to on the Suns and this sacking. It is their money and no doubt it was their decision albeit they will not say anything but boy are they playing games behind the scenes. I suspect more players will leave and not many will want to come up here even if Hardwick gets the gig.

We win them all. 5 at the G with North in Tassie and Sydney up there. Confident.

Which draft year are we looking at? 2024 or 2025?
He is only playing under 17's this season so would think 2025

the white lads have the power to nominate father/son (mfc) or academy (gcfc) prior to the draft.
where they go is up to them if they choose to nominate. end of story.
Do not worry people. If Kalani is good enough come draft year he will be a Demon should we want him. Talked to him and dad at a local under 17 game up here in Qld and both are mad Demons.

21 is now 2 years ago DeeS and yes he played a great game in the GF along with a few others. I'm talking of late, like now. Stop living in the past. We have a unique opportunity to win a couple more flags and Trac needs to get back to that form which even then he was a very good player but IMO was and is not elite then or now, yet.
And by the way, yes I was in a coma about 2 hours after the game finished. Full of P!!.

Trac is a very, very good player BUT not a great one just yet. He needs to take control and win a game or two off his own boot and that means his kicking efficiency must improve around the ground and also snag a few sausage rolls. When this happens and I hope so soon for all our sake then I will say he is an elite/great player. Until then ?

We are not winning this one either. Goody will be outcoached again.
Saints will win by flooding backline and then score in counter attack. They have the ball movement skills and athletes to pull it off. Just wait and see.
Maybe you should barrack for the Saints then.

Again.
Yep. This is a big problem. Gawn and Grundy are not performing to the desired level and have Marshall this week. They better start gelling from now on or we are in a bit of strife.

Well just back from Sunshine Coast after watching Grand Son play footy and taped the game. I don't think I will now watch it after seeing scores and comments on here however I did say in the pre-game thread that May will keep Hogan to zippo and Bedford will not hurt us and we will win by 10 goals. I was correct on 2 of them but forgot we haven't a forward line. You just can't lose with all the stats in your favour but we managed to. Oh for some players with skills.

Weather appears to be clearing up in the Alice for the arvo. BBB to get a few. Kozzie to finally fire for first time since re-signing. May to keep Hogan to zippo, Bedford does nothing and all we have to do is keep Greene quiet and win the mid battle and it's a 10 goal win.

Oh for a Gulden in our side kicking those long low drop punts into the forwards. He is a ripper.

This is definitely a channel 7 game for Victorian viewers:
Hawthorn V Carlton - Foxtel, 1:10pm
Melbourne V GWS - Ch 7, 3:20pm
West Coast V St Kilda - Foxtel, 4:40pm
I suspect Kelli Underwood, Dermie and Co will be hosting on Fox Footy in a studio reviewing the afternoon's games during each break.
Hopefully that clarifies.
Cheers. No channel 7 in Qld but will watch on fox.

80% chance of rain, Brown not a wet weather player so doesn't come in. Harmes is an upgrade on Jordon. Melksham deserves his chance to get to 99 games as a sub. Smith stays in.
On BOM site now stating only a slight chance of a shower or two and on Wearherzone at 3pm Sunday sun will be out and again maybe a slight shower so it shouldn't be all that bad. Assuming the ground will dry our quick.

Not if you watch it on Ch 7
Not sure it is on 7. When I looked at broadcast guide on AFL site only saw Fox and Kayo as TV. Normally 7 does this game so got no idea really. If it is Fox they might just do it from their home studio like normal of late.

I see the Ressies are playing at Casey Igloo at 12.05 on Sunday vs GWS. Surely if BBB was not going to play he would be getting another game under his belt there??
And they will be weakened as a few will need to stay in Alice in case of any late changes. So assume all named as emergencies will stay in Alice.

This comment is basically 2022 all over again.
It ain't happening. We don't just magically flick the switch and come good from this:

People need to realise the wheels are closer to falling off than tightening up.
Well one of us will be correct and let's hope it's me !

I have this funny gut feeling we are programming to come good the last 6-8 games which is basically from now. No panic , not like us lot and away we go. I hope so.

I don’t hate him, he’s just not an AFL footballer in any role but sub or defensive undersized tall any more.
He hasn’t made appropriate defensive efforts or won ground balls for years and snagging a few goals in a comfortable win against out classed opposition doesn’t impress me.
Agree 100% DeeS although will get a few sad and vomit emojis but we were in front last night by 7 points and Goody brought his love child on in the last and what happened. He did nothing and the team did nothing. He also did nothing in the two's. Surely most now will realise for a small he has no pace, doesn't kick goals and IMO is not up to AFL standard.

Good comments D4Life. To only just lose to the Cats down at their own dung heap with most of the side playing poorly is not that bad. We had as many forward entries, frees about same, more disposals albeit handballs so it still comes back to our entries and the forward line in general. Gawn/Grundy still a work in progress.
Would assume a few that played last night will be dropped or on last notice. Depends who plays well in the two's. Be very interesting on Casey's game. Need a few to stand up and put pressure on.

Gawn - had no influence
Grundy - seemingly no passion
Viney - loved the conditions
Neal-Bullen - fumble from hell
Chandler - did nothing again
Rivers - continued impressive season
Fritsch - rarely looked dangerous
Pickett - another listless performance
Salem - great first half
Brayshaw - disposal rarely effective
Langdon - ground didn’t assist
Petracca - only elite player
Hunter - effective and consistent
Hibberd - poor second half
van Rooyen - little input again
Jordon - probably last game
McVee - was rarely sighted
May - dominated his opponent
Lever - reliable and passionate
Petty - had little affect
Spargo - a wasted sub
Swallow - was rarely sighted
Smith - played 2 quarters
Reckon a fair assessment Joeboy. Can't argue with any

PREGAME: Rd 19 vs Adelaide

14 against 14. Circle work DC. Even I was good at circle work, many, many years ago. What I'm saying is that Chandler has not done anything in the AFL of late to get me excited. Similar with Spargo so they are IMO on an even keel. Both struggling.
