  1. You’re having a laugh right? The MFC Coterie supporters club fulfills exactly the same ‘business niche’ you suggest and has been in existence for 75 + years. If you and your business minded friends were such diehard MFC supporters why not join that group instead of going to the Tigers?
  2. Going by the evidence on BigFooty (such as it is) Port fans were not happy with his efforts today, especially that last quarter. Seemingly sections of their crowd were giving it to him in the last when he missed a gimme from 35 out and turned over a simple handpass in Ports inside 50.
  3. Not sure how McKenna warranted a place either he was decent but not a standout player.
  4. Equalisation is working. No gimmes this year.
  5. Maybe Sydney just aren’t as good as we thought? Buddy and questionable umpiring saw them past the Eagles, if he goes down they’ll be in serious trouble
  6. Yep they’re playing a re-building team without a functioning forward line at their home ground. Don’t expect that to stop the commentators wetting themselves over the new recruits.
  7. Port not looking great shakes either tbh.
  8. Kicked the first goal of the match. Stranger than I though it would be to see him in Port colours actually
  9. Didn’t James Sellar kick 5 in a preseason win against Port in 2013 (a fortnight before they buried us and started that nightmare of a season)? You can never tell with pre-season. Not sure he’ll have it so easy when the real stuff starts and he had a tough one against the Eagles last week.
  10. My prediction We'll lose a close game against 'lesser' opposition and the front page will be full of melts for the following week. Oh and Hogan will give the Coleman a red hot crack.
  11. The talk of the AFL community this last month has been Ports trading. I'm not convinced though. Rockliff, Watts and Motlop were moved on by their respective clubs for cultural issues. Looking at Port I'm not sure they are a club with the internal culture to turn around three careers like that. Take Toumpas for instance, he was a high draft pick like Watts and has stagnated in their VFL side (bearing in mind their 2016 side was distinctly average and this year we showed better form for most of the season)- despite this they renewed his contract last week. Watts has better tools but the same attitude, I'm not sure Port can trade their way into contention

Flown under the radar a bit but Ryan would be a good addition to our forward line now Watts has moved on. He won the Bernie Naylor medal with 73 goals, and a quick look at his highlights package shows he can play tall, and would present a decent marking option. He was overlooked at last years draft due to some attitude/professional issues but seems to have cleaned those up this year. An associate of mine knows his family from Geraldton and is of the opinion that an interstate move might suit him better, allowing him to concentrate on developing his game. Would be worth pulling the trigger with a late 2nd rounder, according to the AFL website we're one of 3 clubs with an interest in Ryan, WC and Port are apparently looking at him too.
  13. They bent us over in this trade.
  14. Success? They folded like a cheap deck of cards in the grand final. At full tilt they're a good team the Crows but they seem to be a bit mentally brittle
  15. Not sure Freo would have room in their cap to fit Hogan in - they've just re-signed Fyfe to a mega deal, and they're currently in the process of re-signing most of their young crew. From a selfish POV it would suit Hogan (if he were to go home) to go to WC where he could play second role KPF to Kennedy for a couple of years instead of being dropped into the [censored] truck forward line of Kersten and MacCarthy
  16. Anyone else think he's a smokey for the Brownlow? He's got to be a contender going by those stats
