Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
What would be your maximum offer VP given this war chest? I think aside from salary cap concerns, one issue demon fans may have with this offer if true is that we bought Lever for 900 more so than Lever deciding he wants to play for the Dees. And he might've joined any club on that offer. But knit picking as far as I'm concerned, he's a brilliant player and worth the coin to lure him.

Dynasty side like GWS were going to be? A [censored] tonne of hard work and structural and system adjustments still need to occur. Other coaches like Clarko, Longmire and a few others will still be on the edge looking to redefine and innovate how footy is played. All the while we'te only finding out whether Goody can coach these next two years.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Im lazy, but isnt petracca one of the best players in the comp for supercoach or whatever points per disposal and also up there for goal assists behind Tex and a few others ? Ie his disposals always hurt the opposition.

Maybe we can offer our 2018 first round pick in exchange for a St Kilda 2017 first round pick and onward trade it for Lever, love these future form hedged bet pick swaps.

Every draft position counts, if you've got your mind on someone and are assessing other teams lists and who they're going to take. We traded one or two postions up to get above Essendon and nab Clayton Oliver.

The point was that a club may not want richmond's pick 14, but would prefer 10. So Richmond would sacrifice what amounts to 30 points, to get our 37 points. This way Adelaide would be getting a better deal with 14 and 16 rather than 10 and 27, and Richmond would presumably be satisfying a 3rd party with pick 10. Similar to the Hawk deal last year, they're doing an unsatisfactory draft pick deal in order to just get a trade to happen. Edit: Todays recent article was about Adelaide wanting 2 first round picks, which prompted this kind of deal idea.

Not really. It depends on the club that Richmond are dealing with, and whether they want 10 and not 14 or 16, in this particular case the Demonland user (Apologies for not remembering) was talking about Schache though its been disproven as not an authentic rumour.

Another fella on DL suggested we give 10 and 27 for richmonds 14 and 16 from memory so they can use #10 on a target, and then we pass them both on for lever, though i think it was also for Gaff. If Adelaide want two 1st round picks then this arrangement fits the bill.

Glaring weakness in defence
I said this a year ago in trade week, but we should have picked up James Stewart last year instead of Essendon. They gave pick 77 to GWS and got a 1.97cm 23 year old forward who's in their best 22 heading into a finals campaign, ffs.

End of year delistings
Kent for Lewis Jetta? (Or Motlop FA) I don't think we're getting pick 29 or Taberner for a current VFL playing forward, maybe only a WAFL player. So LJ: We get some outside run and hopefully a guy who [inspired by playing with his cousin] develops some consistent form. His upside is exactly what we are lacking. I'm not sure who else we could possibly get. We should've recruited Eric McKenzie last year (Or not traded Dunn)

Whatever happened to ol 72-page -Prestia? Didnt hear much about him. Must have had a big off season celebrating his payday.

End of year delistings
Salem's disposal efficiency is fine, but he's not a long penetrative kick that threads needles with kicks that propell players forward to the space where he wants them to go, like a Watts at his peak. Salem does love to do many dinky little chip kicks that players have to kind of grasp at to mark. Perhaps that would be the knock on his 91DE? But he does hit targets. We need him to be a bit more creative and to do some bullet passes that allow our rebound to be faster. But this conversation should be a 100 miles away from a delisting thread, lol

Then we'd have Frawley and wouldnt need Lever too?

It's a little unprofessional on their part, if true. More so, if it was a Tmac move to draft OMac, or he'd split. But I doubt that, as he's a pretty mature guy and buys in. Cant think of a player wielding that much power ever. If you look at the Talia brothers, doesnt seem to be any pressure to draft one to play with the other. On the topic of Frost v Omac, id leave it up to the coaches as they know who is ticking the boxes. Do we know whos had #1 defender also predominantly while Tmac went forward? Frost is all flare and dash, but one suspects that Omac holds down the fort a little better. We need stats (I'm lazy af)

"You mean all I have to do is get it, sprint out of defence and then bomb it long into empty space for Eddie & Tex?" Would be on Sams mind. Our Defence already contains Hunt and Hibberd for our athletic sprinting out of defence, both have way more upside on their disposal

Mitch Cleary browses DL? Frost talk heated up in the last few weeks ever since being dropped.

Considering we're a finals bound team with many valued players tradewise even without his addition, shows we've still done well out of that trade. To have a player become a superstar like him and come to us, means we'd be paying unders to get him ie we have enough depth if we trade a good player and our first round picks are not high ones. 2x Pick 12-18

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
I'd like to believe we're more professional than that and would have some gage on whether Frost is too. If he isn't (buying in), then he should be on the trade table anyway. Footy is a professional industry and Frost should be contributing fully towards being a part of our 2017 campaign with the knowledge that doing so would have it's own individual AND collective rewards. If the club is actually not playing him for that reason, then we're sacrificing a decent player and the ability to have TMAC forward to kick a bag. But i just think Frost was down on form and now has to earn his way back in with Pedo holding down a forward spot and TMAC moving back.

Could you reveal some non-revealing reason for why you have this tidbit? eg Family member of "someone" in the coaching depth?
