Delistings/trades at end of the season
I wouldn't be surprised if one of Riley or Michie gets the chop. Roos will have had two years to assess these guys and along with Newton we have three similarly one-paced players. I think Michie might be in trouble.

He's like a high possession Max Rooke. You'd love to play next to him. I wouldn't mind Riley on the other side of me either.

I remember watching the Sam Blease clip below thinking that it was the most impressive 3 minute highlight package (all from one game) that I'd seen. Fast, clean, finishing skills and a real zest for the defensive side of the game. I remember doing a very embarrassing little happy dance when we called his name soon after. I think he only got 13 possessions in the game against WA. Maybe that was the clue. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e7DTWnqlg8E Moral of the story? I'm not sure. Something about highlight packages . . . . .

The 2014 AFL National Draft
I'd trade both first round picks assuming Frawley leaves and we gain band 1 compo. I'd send one to GWS for one of Shiel/Treloar and the other to Gold Coast for Dixon. I'd make two very significant contract offers. We've got the salary cap space. Let's use it. I'm like most here and have watched bits and pieces of the U18s on Fox but that's it. No one has really jumped out and made me say, "I want that kid". Having said that, once afl.com gets their highlight packages up I'll be a complete expert and will no doubt have a fresh view on what we should do with our 2014 picks. Oh and once the bigfooty experts complete their phantom drafts, I'll have changed my mind again.

I'm also loving the Tyson, Viney, Salem left foot brigade.

Eight goals in his last six games. I love goal kicking midfielders. I particularly love goal kicking midfielders who do more of their work on the inside but have the polish on the outside to finish. I love them even more when they're still young, inexperienced and have great hair.

The 2014 AFL National Draft
I think any manoeuvrings involving high picks and good players from other clubs will be dependent on how we finish the season. If we don't win games and finish the season full of promise, no one will be interested in coming here. But if we do finish the season well we probably won't receive a priority pick/s. My ideal scenario involves Frawley staying, finishing third or fourth last have won five or six games in the back half of the season and having a top 5 pick that we can use in a way similar to the Tyson deal at the end of last year.

If that's your criteria, it's still not too late to draft recently retired NHL goaltender, Ron Tugnutt or college basketballer, Chief Kickingstallionims.

Little Creatures all the way for me and I'm proud to say I was the only Queenslander (after 22 years I'm now comfortable saying that) not to watch the origin decider on Wednesday night! I'm a bit disappointed you didn't throw our lack of daylight savings in my face. I have no response to that!

I had to take out my internal stairs to give me more living space upstairs and I'm using the stairs as my downstairs bar. See if you can find an 'L' shaped already removed timber staircase and chuck it on a base of brinks and you've got yourself an instant bar! I'm having a crack at a pizza oven now. In Queensland we can eat outside during winter.
