Gawn and Viney are automatic inclusions. I'd say Jones and Tom Mac are the ones to make way. I feel as though Sparrow is the future and deserves to hold his spot. They love Lockhart, but would they drop Rivers to bring him straight back in? It's a nice problem to have.

We're in the hunt my friend. No doubt our two wins over these last two games have been against poor opposition, but you can see the wheel turning a little in our direction. The test will be the Pies. Knock them off and we're well and truly in the mix.

I love hopping on here after a win. Lots of good vibes around to make a victory feel a little sweeter. I can't imagine what it is like for those who only pop in after a loss. I'm glad I'm not them.

For a bloke who lists his interests as watching the Dees win, and then watching it again at home... you sure don't seem to enjoy us winning all that much.

And then elegt can pop in and post in the 3945739 threads he has started.

Agree with all... except for two. Sparrow has a really good game. 17 touches, 4 tackles and a goal is a good day out for a kid in his second season. He is really showing something at the moment. And thought Weideman deserved more than 'didn't take chances'. While that is true, he was excellent in the first half and really kept us in the game.

Mick Malthouse said today that we have another 'wasted season' on our hands. Stick that where the sun don't shine, Mick. Took us a quarter to settle, and to kick straight, but we smashed them off the park. Disposal count etc doesn't interest me, as we controlled the game easily tonight. We moved it better, we worked harder and we made it count. The inclusions all had a positive impact tonight, starting with Spargo. Pickett was great, Tom did his job and Rivers showed some good signs down back. On that, our back line was sublime once again. Larkey kicked a few but no one else really looked like getting near it. Our season is well and truly alive at 5-5 and a healthy percentage to boot. Bring on the filth on Saturday for the real test!

And Anderson. Hasn't come out of the rooms with an eye injury.

Roos two players down. Zero excuse from here.

Slightly harsh on Tom Mac. I'm no fan, and think he should go back out when Gawn returns, but he worked his way into the game as has 10 touches to go with 5 tackles. He normally wouldn't lay 5 tackles in a month of games. He certainly hasn't been our worst.

We did better on the scoreboard that term, but we aren't home. We need to put the foot down like last week. However, I think we are showing better signs going forward. We are taking more right options which is resulting in us hitting players on the lead, something we weren't doing enough of earlier in the season. But last term coming up but I'm backing us in to see it through.

Nick 'Kent Kingsley' Larkey. FFS.

Also, fitness is going to come into this. This is where Burgess will make his coin. Both sides off a four day break. Hopefully we have more in the tank than the Roos.

If we can kick the first couple of the second half then I really think we can put the foot down like we did against the Crows last week. We are clearly the better side, but we're allowing North to stay in the game which gives them a sniff. Take that away and I'd like to think we can win the game.

I like the inclusion of 'should' in that sentence. Nothing is ever set in stone for us.

After not touching it in the first term, I thought Jones had a very good second term. 6 touches and few score involvements. He had some real influence out on the wing.
-
That's offensive to the Magna.
-
He is playing a Matt Crouch game. Getting heaps but not doing a whole lot with it.

I'd agree our skills haven't been great, but I think our decision making on the whole hasn't been too bad. We are well behind in disposals, but our pressure and transition work has actually been pretty good, which has allowed us to keep the ball locked in, but to also defend well too. Poor kicking for goal hurts - if we don't miss a few of those cheapies we might be 4-5 goals up.
-
Weid had better kick this.
-
Can't believe we will go in to half time behind. Criminal.

Classic Melbourne there.

I love you Gus.

That is why Kozzie is in the side. And that's twice that Weid has hit Spargo. Very good stuff.

Weid is DOMINATING! YEAH!! Good kick from Spargo too. And I thought for a second they weren't going to pay holding the ball on Simpkin!
