  1. I see what you did there.
  2. I agree, but it may come down to this: Lever or Frost. I know who we would all take.
  3. Possibly, but what harm does it do to have him there for another year? He has enough experience that he could come in and fill a gap for a few weeks if we have an injury or two. We will have rookie list spots so you could theoretically stick another tall player there if you needed it.
  4. I'd prefer to hang on to Frost, but I guess he ends up being the odd man out with the two McDonald boys and potentially Lever. We would also have Garland for another year and Keilty on the rookie list.
  5. The plot is beginning to thicken.
  6. Lever was named at CHB in the AFLPA Under 22 squad today. While not making the 22, Oscar McDonald was named in the squad of 40. They could combine to form a super backline for the next 10 years. We'll just have to put up with 10 years of STMJ talking about him in every thread.

Apart from this SEN caller, who could be anybody, there has been no indication at all that we have any interest in him. I'd say that more than likely means we aren't chasing him, or we have decided his asking price is too high. Either way I think he stays at GWS. He can win a flag or two there and then come home.
  8. And the other 20% is you trying to discredit Oscar in any way you can. It's getting tiresome.
  9. Article about it here: http://www.afl.com.au/news/2017-08-21/exclusive-dogs-told-theyre-out-of-jake-lever-hunt
  10. He'd probably pop a full fist on your chin if given the chance, Steve.
  11. That's Philip H. Anselmo to you, son.
  12. Yep, because that's exactly what I said... You are like arguing with a brick wall sometimes. I'd get better conversation and debate from a shrub.
  13. I have jackaub on ignore. And I wasn't going the man, just disagreeing with your assertion that most on here rate him as 'elite', which outside of his kicking is untrue. You made your feelings clear about his suspension earlier in the week which to me has clouded your view. Can't see how you can construe that as going the man.
  14. I doubt it's many, and most would simply rate his kicking as elite, which it is. Good to see you still can't get over his suspension either.
  15. What accolades are these?

    Don't forget Chris Johnson.

HUN are running a story tonight that he is on the verge on re-signing with the Saints. I don't think this one is going to happen, not that I really thought he would leave in the first place.
  18. Gibbs to Adelaide, Lever to Melbourne, our first rounder this year and a second rounder next year to the Blues. They won't be interested in any of our players, and we won't offer the ones they will have interest in. Maybe the Crows chuck in a second rounder of some sort as well to go to the Blues. Carlton wanted two first rounders last year, so one first rounder and two seconds might get the job done.
  19. Sounds like he is just laughing off the rumours, not necessarily laughing at the prospect of coming to us. He would probably say the same thing if the rumour was about him meeting with Collingwood or the Dogs. Not surprised that it didn't take place, though. Seems a little unprofessional to me, plus the Crows are flying at the moment and are a big chance of winning it all. You would at least wait until the season is done before really looking at your options.
  20. Don't be so touchy, LH. I wasn't having a go in the slightest, just an observation I made. Wasn't trying to be personal at all, hence why I put the winking face at the end. I thought you would see it that way but I'm sorry that you didn't.
  21. King was obviously drunk when he talked about it. When you could get it done for a first round pick, you get it done for a first round pick. Plus with everything Jesse has been through, there is no chance we trade him. The kid has 10 years of footy ahead of him and he is only going to be better. Edit - @Lucifer's Hero, I wonder how you would go if you were banned from either posting a link or have a post with italics in it. You wouldn't know what to do with yourself!
  22. Brown's no gorilla - he has no jump on him and he rarely wins a contested mark in a stationary, one on one situation. He is just an absolute gun at reading the ball and his leading patters are brilliant.
  23. I interpret it that way as I'm comparing it to other sports that use the free agency model. Often players will meet with other clubs, or their manager drops a few things in the media, to spook their current team into offering a better deal. Obviously that is not the case with all players, but at the same time he keeps saying how happy he is over there - to me, meeting with other clubs is a tool to get the Crows to up their offer. I'll be stoked if he signs with us as well, although I'd be very, very surprised if he's personally met with us during the season. I'm not even sure if that's allowed.
  24. Sounds like he is using us as leverage (heh) to get a better deal out of the Crows.
  25. You are all over this topic, binman, and you have been spot on in most of your assessment. To simply blame our tall backs for the issues we have it short sighted, naive and show a distinct lack of understanding about our defensive game and the zone we are using.
