  1. Tyson deal to North is imminent according to Trade Radio.
  2. Ripping news. Loved how he spoke of how much he respects Goodwin and the club and how that made it such a tough decision for him in the beginning. The fact he has signed a new deal speaks volumes for the positive and supportive culture at the club! Love it!
  3. Saints just put a tweet out saying he's going nowhere, so it might be a bit of a non-starter this one.
  4. What I've seen of him hasn't impressed me much. Doesn't really get a whole lot of it, not real tough in the contest. It would be a bit of a head scratcher for me if we got him.
  5. Won't happen for just Pick 39. They can get him for nothing in the pre-season draft. That deal, with us giving them a pick back, is more likely to occur at this stage.
  6. I hope we don't accept it either LH, but I get the increasing feeling that we won't get what we all expect. I have faith in the FD though in that, whatever we do get, will make us stronger regardless of how we all see it.
  7. Which they'll probably on trade to us for Hogan.
  8. Swans just got Picks 26, 28 and 40 in the McGovern deal. Perhaps they use one of those picks in the 20s for AVB?
  9. Right now, we need Preuss more than we need Tyson. That's why we do the swap. Forget how many games they played. We know Preuss can hang with the big boys and will be the perfect support for Max, something we've all been crying out for. Tyson has been playing at Casey and then shunted to a wing, where he has little impact, when in the senior side. I'd swap Tyson for Preuss every day of the week in terms of how well it will help to balance the list.
  10. Now he just needs to sign a 5 year deal and I'll believe it.
  11. He's over there doing the surgery now. Pics on his Instagram later.
  12. While you're right re: Brayshaw, you could argue that about any Top 10 pick and how they'll make the transition. There are just as many failures as there are success stories. 2 Top 10 picks can be interpreted a few different ways, as in they don't just have to be picks. One top 10 pick and a highly rated player would fit the bill as well.
  13. Depends how they feel about picks. If they want to hold on to one then they'll have to look at potentially moving a player or worth on, especially if we hold firm for two low picks. Plus that doesn't take into account any further swap of picks (eg. Hogan and next years second rounder for their first this year and Brayshaw) or something along those lines. I don't think it will be as cut and dried as Hogan for two picks or one pick and a player, as other picks may be involved in the deal.
  14. I agree SWYL, even though I don't think that will end up happening. Would you be happy with a low first rounder (say, Pick 5), and a player like Brayshaw? I see it as similar to the two first round picks, plus Brayshaw has already had a year in the system and shown he can play.
  15. With Setterfield nominating Carlton as his club of choice, what do people think about them potentially giving up Pick 1 for Shiel and Setterfield. Too much? I think that's a fair deal - I know Pick 1 is a big deal, but Setterfield was the fifth pick just a few years back and Shiel is still a very, very good player who will slot in very well alongside Cripps. If we had Pick 1 would you do that deal, or try and pull something else off and hope it's enough so you could still take Pick 1 to the draft?
  16. Of course, but I'm talking simply about a deal in general, which is what they mentioned above (if it's in fact true to begin with). If Hogan wants to go home, then Freo will be paying fair price to get him. I'm confident we will get what we need.
  17. I doubt we get that, but that's the starting point. You always ask for more than you want, so when you meet in the middle you get generally the right deal. Plenty of water to go under the bridge with this one.
  18. We have the culture to take on someone like this... but Bennell is too far gone for mine. I don't think the best culture in the world could keep him under wraps. No from me too.
  19. If you could pass that on to Freo, so they only give a second rounder, it would be much appreciated!
  20. Buckenara says that Hogan isn't worth two first round picks, more like an early first rounder (eg. Pick 4 or 5) and a swap of second round picks.
  21. Yeah I don't think that's ideal either, although if that pick then lands us Preuss or KK, then it would soften the blow a little.
  22. Brad Scott right now:
